Date rape is when your date forces you to have unwanted sexual activity. This may include unwanted sexual touch, penetration, forcing or tricking you into touching him/her,or to pose for sexually explicit photos.
Society often blames the vicitm for the assault. This is completely unfair. The responsibility of the assault should rest on the offender. Some of the most common myths include:
"You wouldn't have been raped if you hadn't been drinking."
"If you wouldn't have accepted a ride, this wouldn't have happened to you."
"What do your expect to happen when you wear that kind of clothing?"
"You asked for it. you've been leading him/her on and teasing."
"If your date spends a lot of money on you, you 'owe' something in return."
Don't let someone place the guilt on you with these lines.
