President :   Carol S. Ice
Carol Ice 2004-2005 State President

Carol has been the owner of Custom Communications since 1992.  With this business she started doing word processing and data processing, grew to desktop publishing, professional organizer and now a virtual assistant.  She is currently also the Assistant Manager of the Emerson Avenue Curves for Women in Parkersburg.

Carol has been in the working world for many years.  She was a member of the temporary service teams in the Parkersburg area while her boys were in school.  She started her business and also was employed for a real estate development firm in the accounting department.

Carol's BPW activities include:  BPW/USA Mentoring Committee 2003-2004; BPW/WV 1st Vice President, BPW/WV 2nd Vice President and Treasurer; BPW/WV State Membership Chair, State District Chair, Young Careerist Chair, Judge for BPW/WV IDP, and Mid-Winter Board Speaker.  On the Local level,,,, Carol is a member of the St. Marys Local, Newsletter Editor, and Parliamentarian.

Carol is an honors graduate of Glenville State College with a BA in business and also Parkersburg Community College with an AAS in Data Processing.  She attains the Certified Professional Secretary rating and the Certified Administrative Professional rating and is working toward her Certified Virtual Assistant rating.  She is a notary.

Ms. Ice is active in the community as well.  She is a two term past state president for the International Association of Administrative Professionals, past president of the Professional Women's Association, past president of the Parkersburg Zonta, secretary of the Parkersburg Altrusa, and NAFE Parkersburg Director to name a few.  Carol has received honors that include being the WVIAAP Professional Member of the Year and WV Division IAAP Secretary of the Year.

Carol is married to her high school sweetheart and they are the parents of two sons.  Charles and Krista live in Santa Clara, CA where he is an environmental scientist and she works in the marketing department of Palm.  Trevor and Megan live near Charlottesville, VA where he is a chemical engineer with Merek and she teaches art therapy in the school system.

Jim and Carol enjoy going to the beach, going to concerts, camping, and riding on the Rails for Trails.

President Elect:  Connie Corder
Connie Corder

Connie Corder currently serves the Business and Professional Women of West Virginia as the First Vice President and Membership Committee Chair.  A native of Buckhannon, she has worked in the oil and gas industry for 23 years and has been employed for the last 14 years as an Administrative Assistant for the West Virginia office of The Houston Exploration Company.

Connie ha had many duties within BPW/WV as Second Vice President in 2002-2003, District Director in 2002-2003, Recording Secretary in 2001-2002, and State Project Chair for the West Virginia Coalition of Domestic Violence in 2000-2001.  She served two terms as the President of the Buckhannon Local starting in 2001 and ending in 2003, and has held various positions as an officer and a committee chair.

During 1999, Mc. Corder was named the Buckhannon BPW Woman of the Year and received a highly coveted Outstanding Leadership Award that was given by 1998-1999 BPW/WV President Evelyn Howdershelt to recognize significant contributions toward furthering women throughout the state of West Virginia.

Connie is a member of Reger Chapel United Methodist Church, and has also served as the Upshur County Republican Women as Recording Secretary.

First Vice President:  Ann H. Parsons
Ann Parsons

Ann has served s BPW/WV Recording Secretary in 2002-2003, State Parliamentarian in 1992-1993, and Corresponding Secretary in 1991-1992.  She joined the Weirton Local in 1976 and was President in 1981-1982, and District Chair in 1982-1983.

Ann was named Weirton Woman of the year in 1978 and Spirit of BPW for West Virginia in 1991.  She was proud to represent West Virginia and Region 2 on the BPW/USA Political Action Committee for two terms (January 1, 1999 - December 31, 2002).

Ann has a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Steubenville, Ohio.  She was employed for 25 years as Office Manager at Rohrich Automotive Group in Pittsburgh.  Currently, Ann is a Senior Tax Consultant for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.

Ann is married to husband Jack, and they have three very career minded daughters and six grandchildren.  Jack and Ann enjoy antique flea markets and spend their winters in Florida.  Ann is a member of the GFWV Weirton Women's Club, where she is co-chair of the Drama Committee and past Chairman of the Literary Department.

Second Vice President:  Ramona Allen-Ramsey

Ramona is a member of the Charleston Area Local.  At the local level she has served as president many times, vice president-2 terms, and was chair of numerous committees.  She was honored as Business Woman of the Year in 2002.  She represented the Charleston Area Local as IDP representative and went on to win at the district and state levels.  She represented BPW/WV in St. Paul, Minnesota in the first IDP competition held in many years.  At the district level she has been District Chair and won the Nike award.  Ramona served as Mid-Winter Chair twice, State Convention Chair once, workshop presnter, Public Relations Chair and Leg/PAC Chair..

Ramona is a member of The Mountain State Charter Chapter of The American Business Women's Association, The Optimist Club of South Charleston, and the Jackson County Optimist Club.  She was honored as a Competent Toastmaster in 1999.  She serves on the Board of the Mental Health Association where she is immediate past Vice President.  Ramona volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia and helps WV Friends of ALS and the Relay for Life.

Ramona works for Logan Corporation out of their Charleston office.  She has been in outside sales for Logan for more than seven years.  Ramona travels West Virginia calling on the industrial, chemical and power plants as well as the machine shops' original equipment manufacturers, and any other manufacturing facilities.  She sells industrial supplies, steel, heavy equipment parts, and rental equipment.

Ramona has an Associate Degree in Business Management.  She also has over 100 hours of continuing education credits, and numerous certificates of achievement and awards pertaining to her professional field.

Ramona is married to William (Willie) Ramsey, and has one daughter, Kimberly Dawn Davis.  She is the grandmother of two lovely girls, Barbara Sue and Ashley Dawn.

Recording Secretary:   Alexis Gainor
Alexis Ganor Rec Secretary

Alexis Gainor is employed at Rock Forge Neighborhood House as Executive Director in Morgantown, WV.  She earned her B.S. from Shepherd College in 1998, majoring in Political Science, and her Master of Public Administration degree from WVU in 2000.  As a founding sister of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority at Shepherd, Alexis chaired Philanthropy and Membership committees and was a VA Hospital volunteer.  Prior to her current position she worked at WVU, as well as for the Mountaineer Boys and Girls Club and the Kaleidoscope Community Learning Center.

Alexis is 28 years old and resides in Morgantown with her fiance, Stacy.  She is a member of the Morgantown Business and Professional Women's Club where she serves as 1st Vice President and Membership Chair for the 2004-2005 year.  She volunteers regularly with community programs and is a native West Virginian.  She grew up in Clarksburg and her interests include cooking, gardening, and photography.

Corresponding Secretary:  Eleanor Little

Eleanor Little, Recording Secretary

Eleanor Little is the 2004-2005 Corresponding Secretary of BPW/WV appointed by the State President, Carol Ice.  She has been the Finance Chair, Young Careerist Chair, Health Concerns Chair, and National Business Woman's Week Chair on the state level.  She has co-chaired the State Convention in Morgantown and Parkersburg.  She has served as the chair and co-chair of her District and chaired the Interim Board Meeting  held in St. Marys.  She has held various offices in her local BPW including four 2-year terms as President.  She is currently serving as President-elect and Issues Management Chair.

Eleanor recently retired from her position as a medical technologist at Dr. Dejosef's office with more than 20 years of service.

Eleanor was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and graduated from Idaho State University with a BS in Bacteriology and a minor in Medical Technology.  She trained at Sutter Memorial Hospitals in Sacramento, California, before moving to St. Marys in 1966 with her husband, George Little.  They have two children, Mark and Susan, and three grandchildren, Katie, Maggie, and Drew.

Elenaor is a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church, where she sings in the choir, teaches the 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School class, and is an active member of United Methodist Women.  She is a treasurer of Church Women United, and a member of the Pleasants County CEOS for 25 years.  She has been a member of the St. Marys BPW since 1966.

Treasurer:   Donna K. Conway
Donna Conway, Treasurer  

A member of Hinton BPW since 1996, Donna has served the organization on the local, district and state level.  She was elected Hinton Club President in 2000.  Since joining the organization she has chaired the Public Relations, Domestic Violence, Issues Management, Networking, and the State Project (Voting) committees.  She has received a number of Club Choice Awards and in the year 2000 was chosen Woman of the Year by the Hinton Local.

In 2001, Donna served as State Finance Chair and District III Co-chair and Chair.  She is the Vice President of Safe And Sound Security Systems, Inc., a Beauty Control Image Consultant, a Notary Public, and also assist in the day to day operation of C & H Rental.  She is the past president of the REACH-Family Resource Center Board of Directors and a member of the Three Rivers Retiree Committee.  Donna serves BPW on the local level providing behind the scenes support.

Donna is married to Thomas J. (TJ) Conway, Jr., and has one daughter and two grandsons.  Currently Donna is a student with Mountain State University majoring in Business Management.

Donna is proud to serve BPW/WV as Treasurer for a second year.  She is excited about what State President Carol Ice's theme, "T-N-T" (Teamwork, Networking and Training) will mean not only to the women in BPW, but all women across the state.  By focusing on "T-N-T", Donna believes we will become stronger than ever being the leading advocate for working women in West Virginia.

Parliamentarian:   Bernice Pitcock
Bernice Pitcock Parlimentarian  

Bernice Pitcock is a registered nurse and the Clinical Manager for the 5th floor at Trinity West in Steubenville, Ohio.  She works as a nursing supervisor for Trinity as well.

She is a past state president of BPW/WV and has also held the state offices of 1st and 2nd vice president, recording secretary, and parliamentarian.  She is currently serving as District 1 co-chair.

On the local level, Bernice has served as local president, 1st and 2nd vice president, and recording secretary.  She has chaired several committees on the local level including issues management, membership, health, bylaws, and legislation.

Bernice is married to Gary and has one daughter, Jamie (a Weirton BPW member), one son-in-law, Ray, and one dog, Pebbles.
