Bloody Show: |
|
Main Menu | Childbirth Information |Bloody show is the presence of a small amount of blood or a pinkish discharge. This usually occurs around the 40th week of pregnancy. This can indicate that you are in the First Stage of Labor (early labor). Many women used to believe (and some still do believe) that this occurred during childbirth and was a large amount of blood. This misconception came from long ago when women had complications during childbirth and were possibly hemorrhaging. During actual childbirth, there should not be a lot of blood.
