Robert Lepage
"Le Confessionnal" is Lepage's filmdirecting debut, but he is a
well-known stage director in his native Canada. His on-screen
acting career is limited to smaller parts in a very little number
of films, where the best-known is "Jèsus de Montréal" (aka "Jesus
of Montréal") from 1989 - a film in which Lothaire Bluteau played
the leading role.
Apart from directing "Le Confessionnal", Lepage also wrote the story,
and he is also a co-writer on his last directed picture
"Le Polygraphe" from 1996, where Patrick Goyette is one of three
other credited writers of the script.
