OTHER ADDICTS

On this page you'll find links to websites of other people who manage and/or belong to outrageous numbers of rings. If you'd like to be added here, please feel free to contact me.

The more the merrier! :)

I've decided to divide this list into two sections: websites of people who manage multiple rings and websites of people who belong to numerous rings. At times, there is a great deal of overlap, but usually, at least for the sites I have chosen to represent here, there are clear boundaries between the two. Most of the managers listed here have pages dedicated specifically to the rings they manage, separate and distinct from the pages that display the memberships of the rings managed by others to which they belong.

By offering these two lists, it is my hope that:
A. you will be able to go directly to pages where you can find listings of multiple rings, all managed by the same person, that you can join;

B. you will be able to go directly to pages where you can find numerous memberships in rings of all different kinds of topics, displayed in a variety of categories, to help you find those in which you might have an interest.

MANAGERS OF MANY RINGS

An Almost Alphabetical Listing
  • -just another- Webrings
  • &rea's Ring Central
  • Amazing Woman's Webrings
  • Anitra's Web - Empowerment through Creativity
  • Britfeld Weimaraners - Our Rings
  • Dakota Ridge Weimaraners
  • Dave Graffius's Webrings
  • Determined Living - This site has a "collection of fresh, effective strategies for leading a truly rewarding life" and webrings to match the theme. Categories are: Health, Organization, Homemaking, Parenting, Voluntary Simplicity, Cooking, and Business.
  • Esoterism.com Rings
  • Go West!'s Webrings (Note: Adult rings are included)
  • Grandma's Webrings - All of her ring memberships are listed on the same page as the rings she manages, but you'll find an asterisk next to the ones she manages. She's got a rather elaborate system under which the rings are divided by topic and it looks like they are also listed alphabetically under each topic.
  • Hare Krishna News - Okay, I'll admit to being a bit mystified as to why this site is hosted by a provider with links to a "Babe Report" and an "Adult DVD Explorer," but hey, who am I to judge? Just a warning that there is adult content here, k?
  • Hulda Ros - I can't quite figure out her organization system, so this is a link to her home page with links to all of the various pages, rings mixed in.
  • James S. Huggins' Refrigerator Door: Webrings I Run - No list of ring managers would be complete without James, the King of Webrings. This link will take you to a list of the many rings of which he is a manager.
  • DivineLoveLight - She doesn't have a list of all the rings she manages, but she does have a separate Navbar that displays only them on this page.
  • Kat's Rings
  • My Interest's Webrings
  • New Millennium's Rings
  • - Careful...there really is no navigation whatsoever to speak of here. You have the option to click on a link to a page that lists all of the webrings managed, but no way to get back or surf the rest of the site (sites?). A little investigation took me to a lot of different pages, but you must hunt for the sites through the owner's memberships in the various rings. But, despite that, there are a good number of rings listed that you can join, if you feel so inclined.
  • Radio Fréquence Evasion - Rings in a variety of languages.
  • Sith Witch Ring Hub
  • The Realm of the Ring Mistress
  • Schoolmarm's Schoolhouse Webrings - Hmmmmm.... as I add this link, this site still refers to the Yahoo!Webring era. Before you join any of these rings or use any of the reference links, check to see how current the info is, k?
  • Silvia's World: The Princess' Palace Many of these rings are designed to raise awareness for Epidermolysis Bullosa, a lethal skin disorder from which her son suffers. You'll also find associated topics like, for example, women who have overcome hardship in their lives.
  • Lady of the Rings - Lots of poultry rings. Some gardening and animal rings, too.
  • The Paradigm Web - These guys run a not-for-profit life coaching and conflict management organization on the net. Most of the rings relate to that topic in some way, but there are also a few others, like rings for writers.
  • Tourette Syndrome - Spectrum Disorder: mrindianajones.com - He's got a lot of rings in a wide variety of subjects (as opposed to some managers who have 20 rings devoted to a particular breed of snail) in order to promote awareness of Tourette Syndrome in as many venues as possible, with the exception of pornographic areas.
  • Sarah's Webring Index - Lots of Australian rings, not to mention Family, Friendship, Parenting, Women, etc., etc. She doesn't seem to have them separated by management vs. membership status, but still, a good number to choose from nonetheless. Oops... careful... some bad links to a couple of the ring pages at this time. Hopefully she'll have them fixed soon. Even so, check this one out.
  • Webrings by ICY - Mostly rings for moms (SAHM = Stay at Home Mom), but a couple of others thrown in, too.
  • Zodiac Webring Portal - Looks like these rings are all hosted on Ringsurf.com.

MEMBERSHIPS IN MANY RINGS

Sorta Kinda Listed Alphabetically

You may see a lot of sites lists here that are also listed above as Managers of Many Rings, however, in most cases, you'll find that their memberships in other people's rings are usually listed separately from the rings they manage. This simply gives you another option on searching for rings you want to join. Some of them divide them up into pages of rings devoted to different topics, others alphabetically. Some just jumble them all together. Whatever the method, you'll find a wide variety through these links.

  • Britfeld Weimaraners - When I feel like joining some new rings, this is the first place I hit. Sally's already done all the work for me. She's got tons of ring memberships divided up by the letters of the alphabet. And when she couldn't find a ring to join that started with a particular letter, she just started a ring herself. Be sure to check above for a link to join the rings she manages. Oh, and by the way, she's really nice, even if she is Australian... ;)
  • Dakota Ridge Weim Links - You'll find lots of dog and animal webrings here (duh) but believe me, that's just the beginning. This is one you don't want to miss. (Hey, what's with these Weimaraner guys and Webrings? Is it a "W" thing or something? Hmmm....
  • Dave Graffius' Universe - Yep, Dave is listed above, under the Management section, too, but he's got tons of memberships, as well. Look for them at the bottom of his entrance page.
  • DivineLoveLight - More rings than you can shake a witch's broomstick at. Start clicking at the bottom of the page (but beware of links to empty pages - I suppose they are placeholders for memberships to come). Lots of rings from different ring systems to choose from.
  • Esoterism.com Rings - A small but impressive collection of memberships in rings mostly geared toward paganism or the paranormal. Their categories are listed on the same page as the rings managed by this site owner, but you must click on a link for each category to view the memberships by topic (such as Gothic, Religions, and Witches).
  • Hare Krishna News - His web site confuses me, but you can avoid it altogether by just going to this page that displays the Navbar stack of his ring memberships. A rather eclectic mix of rings, at that... from Anarchy to Witches and everything in between.
  • Icelandic Words of Wisdom - Note: This webmaster has made a common mistake regarding the display of the Webring.com's Navbars. There are (as I type this) 30 pages of rings, each with its own Navbar containing multiple rings. The Navbar is displayed against a black background which causes the default text that appears above and below the Navbar stack to disappear, leaving only the link for the word "here" showing below the single Navbar on each page. If you don't realize that you must click on the word "here" you probably will never see all of the rings on the page. (I won't go into the options available to get around that - you can find that info in the help pages.) Yes, you can either change the color of the text or place your stack in a table with a neutral background to avoid this problem. However, don't forget to look for the little floating "here" if all you see is a single Navbar on a black/dark background.
  • Hulda Ros - Okay, I think I figured it out... go to this page and just keep clicking "NEXT" at the bottom of the page. I'm not sure where it ends, but there are enough ring memberships here to keep you busy for days.
  • James S. Huggins' Refrigerator Door: Webrings to Which I Belong - To quote my daughter Shannon when she first saw this page, "Can you say, 'Whoa!'?" And to quote James, "I belong to more webrings than anyone else on the planet." The initial link will take you to the entrance page of his section on the rings in which he participates as a member, but you also will find links there to take you directly to the pages that are specifically devoted to his "Non-Navbar Memberships" and his "New Navbar Stacks". Almost too much information. A word to the wise: grab a cup of coffee and get ready to stay for a while.

  • Macca's Gouldian Graphics

    Macca's Stuff
    - An interesting array of ring memberships here... some genealogy rings, a few music, graphic, photography, protest, etc. rings, too. I've gotta say that after some of the more ... graphically intense ... sites that I've had the joy to review while putting this page together, this site is a nice change. A visually simple, yet pleasing layout that doesn't give you a headache because it's just too busy. Simplicity wins in my book. Less is definitely more. Well done, Macca. Oh, and don't miss the Stickman Slaughterhouse.

  • Frequence Evasion

Radio Frequence Evasion - I can't find a "jumping off point" for the webring memberships on this site (the page for the rings managed is listed as a link above), but a little investigation led to the discovery that if you *manually* change a letter in the link address, you will see tons of ring memberships listed on separate pages. In the URL, just change the end of the address from "webringa.htm" to "webringc.htm" through "webringg.htm" (skip "webringb.htm" - it doesn't exist - and it ends at "g"). Also, just about any page you land on will contain at least a few rings.
  • Sahm I Am - A small assortment of ring memberships, mostly related to moms and kids but a few others thrown in for good measure.
