Save me, O God,
for the waters
have
threatened my
life.
I have sunk
in deep mire,
and there is
no foothold;
I have come
into deep waters,
and a flood
overflows me.
I am weary with
my crying;
my throat is
parched; My eyes fail while I wait for my God.
Psalm 69: 1-3
Out of the depths
I have cried to You, O LORD.
Lord, hear my
voice!
Let Your ears
be attentive
to the voice
of my supplications.
If You, LORD,
should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
But there is
forgiveness with You,
that You may
be feared.
I wait for the
LORD,
my soul does
wait,
and in His word
do I hope.
Psalm 130: 1-5
For thus says
the high
and exalted
One
Who lives forever,
whose name is
Holy:
I dwell on a
high and holy place,
and also with
the contrite
and lowly of
spirit
In order to
revive the spirit
of the lowly
& to revive the heart of the contrite.
Isaiah 57: 15
|
My voice rises
to God,
and I will cry
aloud;
My voice rises
to God,
and He will
hear me.
In the day of
my trouble
I sought the
Lord;
In the night,
my hand was stretched out without weariness;
My soul refused
to be comforted.
When I remember
God,
then I am disturbed;
When I sigh,
then my spirit grows faint. You have held my eyelids open;
I am so troubled
that I cannot speak.
I have considered
the days of old,
the years of
long ago.
I will remember
my song in the night;
I will meditate
with my heart,
and my spirit
ponders:
Will the Lord
reject forever?
And will He
never be favorable again?
Has His lovingkindness
ceased forever?
Has His promise
come to an end
forever?
Psalm 77: 1-7
Turn to me and
be gracious to me,
for I am lonely
and afflicted.
The troubles
of my heart are enlarged;
Bring me out
of my distresses.
Look upon my
affliction & my trouble,
and forgive
all my sins.
Let integrity
& uprightness preserve me,for I wait for You.
Psalm 25: 16-18,
22
|
This I recall
to my mind,
therefore I
have hope.
The LORD'S lovingkindnesses
indeed never
cease,
for His compassions
never fail.
They are new
every morning;
Great is Your
faithfulness.
The LORD is
my portion,
says my soul,
therefore I
have hope in Him.
The LORD is
good to those
who wait for
Him,
to the person
who seeks Him.
Lamentations
3: 21-25
Although the
Lord has given you the bread of privation
and water of
oppression,
He, your Teacher,
will no longer
hide Himself,
but your eyes
will
behold your
Teacher.
And your ears
will hear
a word behind
you,
"This is the
way, walk in it"
whenever you
turn to
the right or
to the left.
Isaiah 30: 20-21
For I know the
plans
I have for you,
declares the
Lord,
plans for your
welfare
and not for
your calamity,
to give you
a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:
