A Prophetic Encounter...

I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Peace be unto you this day and all the days
to come as you await His return with expectancy in your hearts! I wanted to share a recent experience involving
going to a prophetic "concert" featuring Jason Upton on July 29th. So, the Lord wanted me to go.
I wanted to be a blessing to my sister and to buy tickets for both of us. But at the beginning of the
month the car broke down and we spent the entire month with no money. The Lord told me He spoke
to my sister about HER buying the tickets for both of us, but that she did not respond to His command.
So the day of the concert arrived - I was so heartbroken that there was no way for me to pay for
a ticket, knowing that I was ordained to go. One night at a Voice meeting they had said that if
anyone needed a ticket (couldn't afford to buy one)to ask. So on the afternoon of the concert I
emailed and asked. I got a response that said 'we aren't giving out free tickets - I hope this doesn't
inconvenience you in any way.'. By that time I lay down - I was tired in my Spirit and I thought I'd
sleep. Then the phone rings around 5pm - it's a pre-recorded message from Bob the founder of Voice asking
that I come to the concert, that it's an emergency, and that as many as can come need to come. I said,
"OK Lord - You want me there. How are we going to make this happen?" He then reminded me that I had
a quarter collection - I had been collecting U.S.state quarters from both mints (Philly and Denver)since
1999. They didn't mean anything to me at all, I had just been collecting them for 7 years. I popped them out
of the collectable cover and I had $12.00 - the cost of the ticket. So at 6pm (the concert started at 7pm) I
drove to Elkhart IN (about 15-20 miles), parked, and went into the ticket office and purchased my ticket.

Every song was a prophetic word for not only our region but for every hungry submitted individual. Some may
have viewed it as just a concert; for others, sold-out lovers of Christ, who spend significant time in His
presence...this was a personal prophecy/grooming/uplifting session. From start to finish - EVERY SONG had
to do with me personally - the things that God had been speaking, had spoken, prophecies, personal time - every
word. When he played the first song I heard in the Spirit a mighty thundering - like a stampede - roaring
through the theater - it was sounds of heaven. When the last song played I saw 7 angels above Jason on the
stage beneath the spotlights. A friend who is a prophetic dancer was dancing in the balcony above and I found
out a week later that the balcony was also filled with angels. It has forever changed me. After Jason sang the
very last song and Bob came up to pray for us all and we all then prayed for Jason, Jason played one last song.
When he got to the chorus, he started singing a modern (of sorts) version of "There is a Balm in Gilead". No
one sings that song anymore and I tell you the truth - when I was in 7th grade, still a Jewish girl, and my
music teacher started giving me private voice lessons - probably 1970-1971 - she took me out to public places
and had me sing for people/groups. One day on a Sunday morning she took me to a Christian church on the South
side of South Bend and, with a guitarist, had me sing "There Is A Balm In Gilead". The unsaved Jewish
girl singing about the Balm of Gilead - Jesus Christ - healer, deliverer. Thirty-five years later Father
God has His psalmist Jason remind me that even before I knew Him, He saw me...He has ordered my steps.

Trust Him, friends. Trust Him with everything in you. Follow Him. Let Him lead. He won't lead you astray.
You are a spiritual being on a short earthly journey - just as Jesus came to earth for a short while to have
His human experience and was prepared to sit at the right hand of the Father, to rule and reign for eternity, so
we too are being prepared to rule and reign for all eternity. It's not about what's going on around you. It's
about preparation for forever. Give up your agenda. Give up your thoughts. Give up your plans. Become a sold-out
lover of Christ. Give Him your life - the life He has already purchased anyway with His precious blood. Let
Him direct your steps. Let Him prepare you for the days that are to come.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear...
