March 30th - April 1st, 2007
Passover begins on Monday, April 2nd, 2007 at sundown. It is the first of the three major festivals with both historical and agricultural significance (the other two are Shavu'ot and Sukkot). Agriculturally, it represents the beginning of the harvest season in Israel, but little attention is paid to this aspect of the holiday. The primary observances of Pesach are related to the Exodus from Egypt after generations of slavery. This story is told in Exodus, Ch. 1-15. Many of the Pesach observances are instituted in Chs. 12-15.
The name "Pesach" (PAY-sahch, with a "ch" as in the Scottich "loch") comes from the Hebrew root Peh-Samech-Chet , meaning to pass through, to pass over, to exempt or to spare. It refers to the fact that God "passed over" the houses of the Jews when he was slaying the firstborn of Egypt. In English, the holiday is known as Passover. "Pesach" is also the name of the sacrificial offering (a lamb) that was made in the Temple on this holiday. The holiday is also referred to as Chag he-Aviv , (the Spring Festival), Chag ha-Matzot , (the Festival of Matzahs), and Z'man Cheiruteinu , (the Time of Our Freedom) (again, all with those Scottish "ch"s).
The Lord wants to focus on the root - Peh-Samech-Chet - "to pass through, to pass over, to exempt or to spare.
I will not go into many specific details but someone close to this ministry was facing something extreme. As you know Egypt symbolizes bondage - so in order to preserve that which is not to be shared, let me say that one of their family members were in "Egypt" - better yet, I shall call this person "Egypt". "Egypt has known of Christ for a very long time, but not intimately as in relationship - instead in more of a religious way; "Egypt" was in bondage to self - to intellect, to reason. The Lord has chosen "Egypt" but as you know while God continually pursues us until we no longer have breath to breathe, He cannot override free will. Out of His deep love and unwillingness to allow us to perish without Him, oftentimes He will permit things to get that persons attention. (As in the book of Revelation there will be many severe judgments unleashed but they are God's final attempt and winning the hearts of His creation, of getting them to turn once and for all to Him, their Creator and Lord). In this particular situation, the Lord was on the verge of permitting something serious - He was going to allow one of "Egypt's" family members to die to get "Egypt's" attention.
I can hear it now - all those religious folks out there saying "GOD WOULD NOT DO THAT"....
The details are not up for discussion. This is one of the deep things of God that you can either accept or reject; but truly GOD WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET OUR ATTENTION, even the loss of a loved one. For truly in my OWN LIFE, the entire culmination of my earthly father's life was to die. Yes, I said THE PURPOSE OF HIS LIFE WAS TO DIE. Why? So that myself and my siblings, all raised Jewish, would cry out to God and truly meet His Son, that we may walk in the fullness of His callings for us.
Man tends to interpret God from the perspective of man's ways, but God's ways are infinitely higher. Therefore if we are to understand His ways, we must allow Him to elevate us so that we can see from His perspective.
We must be born of His Spirit to truly see. For there is complete harmony in His kindness AND His severity. It is BECAUSE OF HIS LOVE FOR US THAT HE IS SEVERE.
MANY ARE BORN TO DIE - it is their primary reason for being born. Jesus was born to die. His death saved mankind (those who would/will receive His atonement on their behalf). Jesus did not just love us as He loved Himself, He loved us MORE than He loved His own life.
This event in "Egypt's" life was going to be allowed to get "Egypt's attention - for "Egypt" has been living a life of rebellion. "Egypt" lives and does that which would not necessarily seem to offend God or are things that if sent by God they would then be blessed by God ---BUT "Egypt" never ASKS GOD what His plans are for each and every moment, but instead does things according to/after the flesh. (because all things - seemingly righteous and holy or not are OF THE FLESH if it is out of God's perfect will/timing).
Therefore "Egypt" was off doing something that God did not send "Egypt" to do this weekend.
And in the meantime, something was working supernaturally in "Egypt's" family.
Basically what happened: Holy Spirit was working on "Egypt" in one place, and one of "Egypt's" family members (in a different location) was allowed to become sick - so sick it was to be unto death.
This person was going to be allowed to die in order to get "Egypt's" attention.
The Lord spoke to me of His intentions and had me intercede for most of Friday night into Saturday morning. I petitioned the Lord on this person's behalf until He released me.
And the resulting news was stunning.
Not only did "Egypt's" heart soften and begin to turn toward the things of God, but "Egypt's" family member was allowed to live!
There are layers of the miraculous in this...we have been believing for "Egypt" for quite awhile. It is very critical to the purposes of God that "Egypt" begin to accept God's truths - for there is a whole line of things that shall fall into place as God continues to change "Egypt's" heart, as "Egypt" then begins to surrender to and walk in God's perfect will.
This was also as the story of the family who blessed the prophet by building a room onto their house:
2 Kings 4:
8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.
12 And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
13 And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
14 And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.
15 And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.
17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
If you would finish the chapter you would also see that the son then dies, and the prophet is allowed to restore life to him.
THESE ARE TRUTHS THAT YOU NEED TO TRULY GRASP - I pray Holy Spirit RIGHT NOW give you EARS TO HEAR WHAT HE IS SAYING ABOUT THIS...
This family ("Egypt's" family) - they have been kind to THIS prophet. They have received THIS prophet and Christ in me and who I am to Him. VERILY VERILY God will NOT RELEASE MIRACLES IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE ONE HE HAS SENT IS TRULY WHO HE HAS SENT AND WHO WE ARE TO HIM.
IT WAS AT THE WORD OF THIS PROPHET AND ONLY THIS PROPHET THAT THIS FAMILY MEMBER OF "EGYPT" WAS PERMITTED TO LIVE.
"This is the time for Passover; Passover celebrates when DEATH PASSED OVER THE HOUSES OF THE FAITHFUL BECAUSE THEY APPLIED THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB TO THEIR DOORPOSTS...."
He said this is what a faithful member of "Egypt's" family had done...they had applied the blood of Jesus to the doorpost of their heart.
AND THIS IS THE REASON THE LORD HAS ASKED ME TO SHARE THIS TRUTH WITH YOU TODAY....FOR HE HAS A QUESTION TO PUT FORTH:
"HAVE YOU APPLIED THE BLOOD OF MY SON TO THE DOORPOST OF YOUR HEART? SURELY I SHALL PASS OVER YOUR HOUSE, SPARING IT OF MY JUDGMENT, IF YOU HAVE DONE THIS THING, IF YOU ARE WALKING ACCORDING TO MY PERFECT WILL. BUT WOE UNTO THE ONES WHO HAVE NOT APPLIED HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD...WOE UNTO YOU WHO HONOR HIM WITH YOUR LIPS OR YOUR DEEDS, BUT YOUR HEARTS ARE FAR FROM HIM. TRULY I KNOW THE DEEP THINGS OF YOUR HEART...TRULY I KNOW YOUR DOUBLE-MINDEDNESS. I SHALL SURELY REWARD ALL ACCORDING TO THEIR HEART...WHETHER REWARDING WITH BLESSING OR CURSING, FOR I AM THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE AND MY JUSTICE IS SURE", SAYS ALMIGHTY FATHER GOD
"Behold then the kindness and severity of God" (Romans 11:22)
"Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them." (Psalm 84:5)
"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." (Proverbs 4:23)
