Anne Rice Gives Her Live To Christ?

I greet you in the matchless name of our beloved Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, King of Kings
and Lord of Lords. What I am sharing with you today, if true, is an amazing victory for
the Glory of the Kingdom of Heaven against the powers of darkness, vampirism, witchcraft,
pornography and the occult. In what secular magazine, Newsweek, is calling, "the
most startling public turnaround since Bob Dylan's "Slow Train Coming" announced that
he'd been born again", once-gothic/occult writer Anne Rice (Interview With A Vampire, Queen
of the Damned, even pornographic s&m, etc) has reportedly given her life to Jesus Christ
and is now writing on His behalf.

In two weeks, she will publish "Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt" -- a novel about the
7-year-old Jesus, narrated by Christ himself -- and that is evidently just the beginning. "I
promised," says Rice, "that from now on I would write only for the Lord."

In researching for Egypt, she immersed herself not only in Scripture, says David Gates of
Newsweek, but in first-century history and New Testament scholarship, some of which she
found "disturbingly skeptical". "Even Hitler scholarship usually allows Hitler a certain
amount of power and mystery." She also watched every Biblical movie she could find,
added Gates, from "The Robe" to "The Passion of the Christ" ("I loved it" she said.) She
even read the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins's ("I was intrigued.
But their vision is not my vision," says Rice).

After writing about the undead for 25 years, she now proclaims Christ "the ultimate
supernatural hero ... the ultimate immortal of them all."

Newsweek goes on to say, "She can cite scholarly authority for giving her Christ a
birth date of 11 B.C., and for making James, his disciple, the son of Joseph by a
previous marriage. But she's also taken liberties where they don't explicitly conflict with
Scripture. No one reports that the young Jesus studied with the historian Philo of
Alexandria, as the novel has it—or that Jesus' family was in Alexandria at all. And
she's used legends of the boy Messiah's miracles from the noncanonical Apocrypha:
bringing clay birds to life, striking a bully dead and resurrecting him."

NEWSWEEK CONTINUES: "Rice's most daring move, though, is to try to get inside the head of a
7-year-old kid who's intermittently aware that he's also God Almighty. "There were times when I
thought I couldn't do it," she admits. The advance notices say she's pulled it off: Kirkus Reviews'
starred rave pronounces her Jesus "fully believable." But it's hard to imagine all readers will
be convinced when he delivers such lines as "And there came in a flash to me a feeling of
understanding everything, everything!" The attempt to render a child's point of view can read
like a Sunday-school text crossed with Hemingway: "It was time for the blessing. The
first prayer we all said together in Jerusalem ... The words were a little different to me.
But it was still very good." Yet in the novel's best scene, a dream in which Jesus meets a
bewitchingly handsome Satan—smiling, then weeping, then raging—Rice shows she still has her great
gift: to imbue Gothic chills with moral complexity and heartfelt sorrow." (END NEWSWEEK QUOTE)

I am sharing this with you with a real check in my Spirit. The Lord has proclaimed that
"all things hidden shall be revealed" and "the truth shall make you free". As stated
at the beginning, if this is a genuine conversion with a willingness to allow Holy Spirit
to direct the script of her new novel about Jesus, this will indeed be a major victory
against the powers of darkness that Anne has represented for so many years. She would
be a then credible voice to all her previous fans, a light in the darkness, proving
that life in Christ is better than anything the world of darkness has to offer.
HOWEVER, the liberties expressed above that she's willing to write and then be spoken from
the mouth of a 7-year-old Jesus Christ - that is serious stuff. Fiction or no, we are
held accountable for how we represent Him to the world. And so I urge prayerful
consideration to true believers in the true Lord Jesus Christ in making sure that ALL things
read (no matter if fiction or non-fiction) or viewed with our eye-gates, and ALL things
heard with our ear-gates would line up with the Word of Almighty God.

We are living in an hour when deception will keep growing and growning. DISCERNMENT is so
very vital to our survival now. Lean on Holy Spirit - our teacher, our Truth, to reveal
all that is genuine and all that is counterfeit.

Heavenly Father, I ask of You in Jesus' name to reveal Yourself in a mighty way to Anne Rice.
I ask that you stop all works of darkness from this moment forward, and that ANYTHING
she would write for You, according to her own vow to do so, would be submitted to You for
YOUR approval, for YOUR leadership, for YOUR authorship. I ask that You would seal her
salvation, that the enemy cannot come in and alter it or hinder Your purposes for her life in
any way. I pray that she will walk in wisdom and light, and that You would give her such
powerful discernment that she would catch all plans of the enemy before they even start.
Let her be a voice of the TRUE, a voice for Your kingdom. I pray that each and every
former "fan" of her previous works of darkness would now be led to come into the light and
give their lives to You for Your Glory. I pray that doors would be open to Anne for any
deliverance to occur that would help her to renounce and be free from all previous influences.
We give You ALL THE GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISE in the matchless name of the True Lord
Jesus Christ! AMEN and AMEN!
