WHAT IS IT ABOUT YOUR FLESH? WHAT DO YOU THINK IT WILL DO FOR YOU? Why do you have to be noticed? Why do you think you have a right to argue with God? Why, when God says "DO THIS" or DON'T DO THAT" do you come up with arguments, suggestions, justifications for NOT DOING IT HIS WAY???
I cannot tell you how much disobedience has reared it's ugly head in this past week in the people 'around me' (well actually it blatantly started when the Lord had me rebuke the girl about self-idolatry and has continued since then - but especially has been brought to the forefront in this past week or so) - from "Well, I hear what you're saying - God said we are not to vote but that is just not good enough for me" - or, "Well other Christians are saying VOTE just not for Obama" - or, "Ok I hear the Lord say do it this way - I'll do that NEXT TIME - this time I thought I'd try...." or, "I think our state is collecting blankets, so we'll just do it here if it happens."
OBEDIENCE: obeying or willing to obey; complying with or submissive to authority; dutifully complying with the commands, orders, or instructions of one in authority.
DUTIFULLY COMPLYING WITH THE COMMANDS, ORDERS, INSTRUCTIONS OF ONE IN AUTHORITY.
COMPLY: to act or be in accordance with wishes, requests, demands, requirements, conditions, etc.; agree
AGREE: Jesus said, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (Amos 3:3)
WHEN YOU COMPLY TO THAT WHICH THE LORD COMMANDS, YOU ARE THUS IN AGREEMENT WITH HIM AND YOU CAN THEREFORE WALK WITH HIM - BUT WITHOUT COMPLIANCE, WITHOUT OBEDIENCE, YOU CAN NOT ONLY NOT WALK WITH HIM, YOU CANNOT FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM - BECAUSE OBEDIENCE IS HOLINESS AND HOLINESS IS REQUIRED TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF HIS THRONE.
It takes HUMILITY to be obedient, to comply when told what to do without mumbling, justifying, arguing, complaining.
HUMILITY: the quality or condition of being humble; modest opinion or estimate of one's own importance, rank, etc.
What does Jesus say about humility:
"When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom."
(Proverbs 11:2)
HUMILITY allows WISDOM!
"The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor." (Proverbs 15:33)
IF YOU WANT TO HAVE HONOR BEFORE THE LORD YOU MUST COME WITH HUMILITY!
Deeper still, IF YOU FEARED THE LORD you would be wise AND humility would be afforded unto you!
"Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the LORD's anger." (Zephaniah 2:3)
'PERHAPS you will be sheltered ON THE DAY OF THE LORD'S ANGER' if you SEEK THE LORD, ARE HUMBLE, SEEKING RIGHTEOUSNESS - SEEKING HUMILITY....meaning, HE IS NOT OBLIGATED TO TAKE CARE OF YOU OR PROTECT YOU FROM JUDGMENT OR LIFE OR EVIL IF YOU ARE NOT WHOLLY HIS IN COMPLETE AND UTTER SURRENDER!
Not only is it (humility) acknowledging that Jesus is LORD OF ALL but it is a willingness to LET HIM BE LORD OF ALL. It doesn't matter if you THINK Jesus is Lord, if you do not do that which He says, you are no better than the lost, because they do not listen to Him either. Sure, you have a 'one-up' because you believe in Jesus - but a) satan believes in Jesus, and b) what good is believing someone is Lord if you then do not, will not, and are not willing to obey His commands?!?!
JESUS WAS OUR EXAMPLE - He NEVER spoke of Himself, He only spoke of His Father. He did not come to PROMOTE Himself, He came to open the door so that we could once again FELLOWSHIP AND COMMUNE with the Father.
HOW ARE YOU GREATER THAN JESUS?! - "But..but..I never said I was greater than Jesus..." OH YES YOU DID - when you refused to humble yourself before Him and obey His commands, you elevated yourself to a level GREATER than Jesus.
WHY can't you OBEY?
WHY can't you HUMBLE YOURSELF?
PRIDE.
What is PRIDE: a high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing, conduct, etc; a state of feeling of being proud.
What does Jesus say about pride:
"When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom." (Proverbs 11:2)
DISGRACE! In your stinking pride YOU ARE A DISGRACE!
"Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor." (Proverbs 18:12)
BEFORE YOUR DOWNFALL YOUR HEART IS PROUD - meaning if you are walking in PRIDE your DOWNFALL IS COMING! You can let it come at God's hand willingly or you can let it come at God's hand of correction - willing is much better...
For some of you, the GOOD NEWS is that God is really working on you perfecting you for these last days if you will but submit to the breaking/dying process, you shall indeed be used for HIS GLORY and when He is able to BREAK YOU OF YOUR PRIDE it shall TRULY then be HIS GLORY and not your own.
The Lord spoke this one as a WORD a few months back and shows it to me yet again for you today (of that which HE IS DOING AND SHALL CONTINUE TO DO):
"And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass."
What does that mean? Not only will He break the pride in you, and it's power over you, but also until then, when you pray while living/walking in pride? He has made your heaven as iron and your earth as brass
Do you think God hears your prayers when your heaven is as iron?
The Lord spoke this through this Messenger over 2 years ago that the solution, the key, to living before Him in holiness, to taking up your cross daily, to dying daily, is crying out to Him for help it is:
SURRENDER: to yield (something) to the possession or power of another; to give oneself up, to give up, to relinquish, to yield, resign, to submit
OBEDIENCE: obeying or willing to obey; complying with or submissive to authority; dutifully complying with the commands, orders, or instructions of one in authority.
SUBMISSION: to give over or yield to the power or authority of another; to present for the approval, consideration, or decision of another; to yield oneself to the power or authority of another.
SOS God spoke SOS several years ago SOS a DISTRESS CALL
SOS: the letters represented by the radio telegraphic signal used, especially by VESSELS IN DISTRESS, as an internationally recognized call for help.
AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CALL FOR HELP.
Unfortunately for some of you, your pride and flesh will keep you from His perfect will. Even as you read this you say, "Bless God that's not me I know Him, I hear Him."
The earmark of deception is not knowing that you are deceived.
Turn to Him now.
I am always humbled by His amazing love and compassion for those who are still 'not there yet' His willingness to gently and lovingly call out to you to come repenting for self and flesh and pride and disobedience and being washed by His blood and the water of His word. When righteousness is His right...when He deserves NOTHING BUT OBEDIENCE, LOYALTY, those who are willing to do anything He says...DESERVES IT - EARNED IT - BOUGHT IT WITH A SEVERE PRICE - that righteous judgment is HIS RIGHT - that He could smite or swallow up or cast down all who disobey Him - YET HE CHOOSES to give more time, more chances, as the dispensation of grace comes to a close...
LET HIM HAVE HIS WAY.
Eternity yours with Him - hangs in the balance.
