Today I was pondering what to say about my Lord - how to describe Him to you, asking Him if there
was anything in particular He wanted me to say to you about Him. Because I guard our (His & my)
relationship closely in my heart, for it is intimate and personal, and not something I am normally
inclined or led to share. People who have taken the time to listen to what I speak about Him have
then sometimes prayed, "Lord I want to know you like she knows you", for my heart for Him is re-
flected not only in my speech but in my entire life as well. So in that way you can know who He is to
me. But you see, God wants to KNOW YOU FOR YOURSELF! He wants to be intimate with YOU!
Your and His relationship will be special for you and Him. (And please always know that the words
I speak are not even ever MY words but truly I speak only that which I hear the Father saying....
for not only is He the only one with Words of Life, but also that which we speak of ourselves has
NO eternal value).
There are things that you can know, things that I can share, that will attract you to Him. You will be
attracted because He created you to know Him. So when you feel a pulling deep within you as you
read these words, know that it is our dear, sweet Holy Spirit drawing you to Jesus...The Way, The
Truth and The Light. I will not go into Adam and Eve, how they walked daily with God until their sins
broke that communication. What YOU need to know right now is that Jesus came back to bridge
the gap - to take OUR sins...we who have been born in sin, every one of us...upon Himself -
becoming the sacrifice on our behalf so that anyone who wishes can now, once more, walk daily
with God!!!
I do not believe in or adhere to religion, religiosity, denominations, and the like. These things are
man-made and cause strife and division. God created us for RELATIONSHIP. One on one. And
then one with another in THEIR (God the Father and God the Son's) Love (see John 17). (For
truly you cannot have Godly relationships with others without first getting to know and then be-
coming like the One who created you!) Relationship with God is personal. It is intimate. God in
three persons: Abba Father, Jesus the Word, Holy Spirit Friend and Comfortor. I know them
each individually. Each one speaks to me individually. My Heavenly Father calls me "Daughter"
(this humbles me deeply and causes tears of love and joy even to mention aloud); Jesus calls
me, "Beloved"; Holy Spirit calls me, "Friend". When I spend hours in fellowship and worship
They tell me which songs they like for me to sing to Them! I have danced with Jesus - like Prince
and Princess (He reminds me to liken it to Beauty and the Beast when Belle and the Beast
dance in the ballroom). I have been in the heavenlies before The Throne, at the feet of Jesus,
washing His feet with my tears and drying them with my hair. The depth of intimacy is really
up to you - He is anxiously awaiting to go as deep as you want to go! And I could go on and on -
for He chose me from before the foundation of the earth, and I answered His call 21 years
ago...and I have loved Him for that long...It is INTIMATE... PERSONAL.
Just imagine what YOUR relationship with Him could be like!!!
So, you see, it's NOT just a bunch of judgemental folks sitting around every Sunday reading a
dusty old book (AKA The Bible)...it's not just irrelevant but maybe sort of interesting history
(although it IS HIS-story!). It is ALIVE, it is living! It is about Jesus - knowing Him, being loved
and molded by Him. Even if you think you are a Christian - you've been 'going to church my
whole life'....but...do you KNOW HIM??? You know, going to church doesn't make a person
"born-again" and assured of eternity with God any more than standing in a garage makes you
a cadallac. People end up in hell daily who sat in church every Sunday. WHY? Because they
NEVER KNEW HIM. What does it mean to "know"? There are many definitions but those HE
wants you to know that best describe what He is talking about in "knowing Him" are: 'to be
sure of';'to be acquainted with'; 'to recognize'; 'have experience with'; 'have seen or heard';
'be familiar with'. Do you recognize Him when you see Him? Are you acquainted with Him?
Have you heard Him? Are you sure of Him? You can be! But, "Why is this so important?".
Because Jesus spoke of His return, and said there would be those who come to Him on
judgment day and say, "Lord, we healed in Your name!" "We cast out demons in Your name".
"We did....XYZ...in Your name." "But...but...we spent every single sunday in CHURCH for Your
name". And Jesus' response to them was, "Depart from me....I NEVER KNEW YOU."
Think about it. Grasp the significance of it. The original 12 disciples walked, talked
preached, ate and slept with Jesus. WITH Jesus. 2000 plus years later the church, the Body
(aka US) - we're FINALLY HEARING ('He who has ears let him hear what the Spirit sayeth...')
It's about relationship. Intimacy. Knowing.
So, how do you get to know someone? By spending time with them. But HOW? "God's in
heaven. I'm down here. Just how do I get to spend time with Him?" Well, my friend, everything
in the natural is a picture of the supernatural (and vice versa). Here on earth...perhaps you are
walking down the street...or in the park...at the mall. Someone catches your eye. You get a
first impression or just something makes you want to know more about that
person. You're
attracted to them (attracted as in 'drawn to' NOT worldly lust scenarios).
You perhaps invite
them to go somewhere with you to sit down and talk. So.......you were surfing the internet
('out walking') (and you may THINK it's by chance that you ran across this web site).
You've read everything here thusfar and this is your 'running into Jesus' moment. Now you've
met Him - you're curious...interested...attracted. The next step is for you to sit down
in a quiet place and invite Him to join you for a talk...a getting-to-know-you session. (And
He ALWAYS shows up. Always). And because He loves you so much He'll let you talk first
perhaps (because love always cares more about hearing what the other person has to
say)...(oh, and I say "perhaps" because He has been waiting so long for you He may burst
out in His own expression of love for you....it's never the same because, well, He's
God!)...will you share a little or a lot? How open and honest will you be with Him? How
much are you willing to share? (Pssst....by the way, friend? He already KNOWS everything
about you because He made you...but He likes you to share with Him very much so don't
be shy!). And what do you find out about HIM???
The following is perhaps by far the best 'description' I've seen regarding who Jesus is. It
is from the last book in the Left Behind series, "Glorious Appearing", and is attributed to
someone who I have not heard of nor researched to see if real or fictional. But truly, the
words offer an amazing introduction to 'Who Is This Jesus' and the Lord asked me to
share the words with you now:
"The Bible says my king is a seven-way king. He's the king of the Jews; that's a radical
king. He's the king of Israel; that's a national king. He's the king of righteousness. He's
the king of the ages. He's the king of heaven. He's the king of glory. He's the king of kings.
Besides being a seven-way king, He's the Lord of lords. That's my king. Well, I wonder,
do you know Him?
"David said, 'The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His
handiwork.' My king is a sovereign king. No means of measure can define His limitless
love. No far-seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shoreless
supply. No barrier can hinder Him from pouring out His blessings.
"He's enduringly strong. He's entirely sincere. He's eternally steadfast. He's immortally
graceful. He's infinitely powerful. He's impartially merciful. Do you know Him?
"He's the greatest phenomenon that has ever crossed the horizon of this world. He's
God's Son. He's the sinner's Savior. He's the centerpiece of civilization. He stands
in the solitude of Himself. He's honest and He's unique. He's unparalleled. He's
unprecedented.
"He is the loftiest idea in literature. He's the highest personality in philosophy. He is
the supreme problem in higher criticism. He's the fundamental doctrine of true theology.
He's the core, the necessity for spiritual religion. He's the miracle of the ages. Yes,
He is. He's the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him. He's the only
one qualified to be our all-sufficiency. I wonder if you know Him today.
"He supplies strength for the weak. He's available for the tempted and tried. He sympathizes
and He saves. He strengthens and sustains. He guards and He guides. He heals the sick.
He cleanses the leper. He forgives the sinner. He discharges debtors. He delivers the
captive. He defends the feeble. He blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate. He
regards the aged. He rewards the diligent. And He beautifies the meek. I wonder if you
know Him today?
"Well, this is my King. He's the key to knowledge. He's the wellspring of wisdom. He's the
doorway of deliverance. He's the pathway of peace. He's the roadway of righteousness.
He's the highway of holiness. He's the gateway of glory. Do you know Him?
"His office is manifold. His promise is sure. His life is matchless. His goodness is limit-
less. His mercy is everlasting. His love never changes. His word is enough. His grace is
sufficient. His reign is righteous. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. I wish I could
describe Him to you.
"He's indescribable. He's incomprehensible. He's invincible. He's irresistible. Well, you
can't get Him out of your mind. You can't get Him off of your hand. You can't out-live Him
and you can't live without Him. The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found they
couldn't stop Him. Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him. Herod couldn't kill Him. Death
couldn't handle Him, and the grave couldn't hold Him. That's my King!"
That's my King.
Will you let Him be YOUR King today?
I asked the Lord what else I could say on His behalf. He gave me a personal message for
you this day:
"I have loved you with an everlasting love. I AM the lover of your soul. You were
meant to be with Me for eternity. Won't you come? Come. Walk with Me this day. We have
much to discuss...a lot of catching up to do. For you are My Beloved. Let Me hold you,
embrace you, welcome you to Me for all eternity. I will never leave you or forsake you.
I will never let you down. You are Mine...and I AM yours. I AM always here for you.
Always.
Come."
saith the Lord.
