This week the UN announced it would be severely cutting back on emergency aid to the poor around the globe due to 'soaring food prices'. TODAY (Sunday, March 2nd, 2008) the U.S. Government announced that they were doing the same. (The actual headline reads "Soaring Food Prices Putting U.S. Emergency Aid In Peril") Monkey see - monkey do? Are we as a nation bumping up the killing off of the poorest of the poor? Because THAT DAY IS COMING - and now IS - where the 'least of these' are being systematically killed. Oh it's nothing quite obvious yet - just E coli here, and food recalls there, sick animals, and vaccines that don't work and super-viruses without a cure....hurting those who have been deemed expendable, 'throw-away' segments of populations. (Do you know if YOU are on that list? You DO know that Christians ARE considered subversive by the U.S. Government, right? Would you not think that they would try to find ways to get rid of US???)
ALL are HUMAN BEINGS....but YOU probably do not have it so bad - yet.
The Lord is talking here about those who no one really cares about --- and considering that no one even cares about the starving in THIS country, why should their compassion span the globe?
The government EXPECTS the church to take up the slack where the hungry and dying are concerned
Ah, but we all know that the majority of the church would rather feed the big fat ministries with the famous preachers, hoping for some sort of extra special favor or miracle when all they are doing is lining the pockets of SOME GUY OR SOME GAL USING GOD FOR THEIR OWN GAIN....
THIS is why the Lord has said "THE POOR YOU WILL HAVE WITH YOU ALWAYS", because the church DOES NOT GET IT where money is concerned - HIS MONEY - because the church is about THEMSELVES - THEIR home, THEIR family, THEIR fun time, THEIR lives, even their little local ministry who probably is NOT GIVING 100 percent to the purposes of Almighty God..... AND, AGAIN, ALSO THROWING GOD'S MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN to the "famous" pastors - ALL OF THESE THINGS INSTEAD OF THE TRUE WORKS OF GOD - those who FEAR GOD and wouldn't DARE TOUCH HIS RESOURCES FOR PERSONAL GAIN, who REALLY FEED THE HUNGRY, provide water to the thirsty...
"WOE unto you with blinders on," saith the Lord, who even to this day are probably saying to yourselves, "Well that's not ME the Lord is speaking to - ISN'T IT???
