Joe & I killed a deer on the Eastern also one Nov. 2 th. |
Friday, November 03, 1893 |
We went North from the Rail Road about seven miles and |
came to Willow River. We killed a couple red squirrels and |
roasted them for our dinner. This is my birthday. I am 27 |
years old. This will always remind me of where I ate my |
dinner that day in the wilderness on the North bank of the |
Willow River. |
Monday, November 06, 1893 |
We came home as it was so dry that we could not do |
anything hunting and could not afford to buy our board. Such |
is always my luck. It seems there is no use of trying to do our |
thing any more. |
Thursday, November 09, 1893 |
Hilda & Fulton's little baby boy [Albert] died. He was five |
weeks old. They buried it in the Sanitago Cemetary. |
Wednesday, November 15, 1893 |
Joe, J. Brakfield & myself went up to Gilmans Mill to hunt for a |
few days. We killed two deer and seventeen partridges. |
Saturday, November 18, 1893 |
I went up to Cheely's and staid over night. The next morning |
we went out hunting and I killed a big buck. Gave the horns to |
Lizzie. |
Friday, November 24, 1893 |
Mary came home from Aitken Co. where she has been |
teaching school. Has been away three months. |
