Jim came up to Milaca and brought me home. I went up to |
see Manda. She had been sick and looked very tired. I |
succeeded in getting her to name the day when we would be |
married. It will be next Thanksgiving Day. I feel happy and |
content and shall do all I can to get things ready and have a |
little place to take her to. |

Mary came home from Barnesville and brought her little baby |
boy. She calls him Geo. Sylvester Gutherie. He was born |
last March and is a big fellow. It seems funny to see |
"Smooty" with a baby. |
