Jim & I went to Oak Park to help the Oak Park camp M.W.A. |
initiate some new members. It rained thundered and |
lightened so we could not get home until almost morning. I |
never saw such a rain at this time of the year. About eight |

Dear old uncle Martin died at 9-15 P.M. today he has not |
spoke for a week. |

We buried him in the Santiago Cemetary where Father is and |
so many of the old friends and settlers lay. How we shall |
miss him, as long as I can remember I have been near |
enough to go see him. How many pleasant hours I have |
spent with him before he sold his place and come to live with |
Mother. And since he has been there we have got so used to |
seeing him. But such is life. I hope his suffering is over for |
all time to come. |
