Entry | Christmas with no plans. I think that this is the first Christmas I |
have ever been alone. Unlike last year I did not put up a tree. But |
I did decorate in other ways. Hannah gave me two brass candle |
stick holders that say JOY. No need to put them away after |
Christmas. I want joy in my life every day. |

Entry | I was out and about today and stopped in at Northwest Seed and |
Pet. They had a peach faced lovebird. He looked so sad. I had |
seen him there about a month ago. So I took him home. I had to |
buy a cage, food etc. As Ileft the store I thought that the total was |
a bit low. When I got home I realized they had not charged me for |
the cage. They were surprised when I called to get the amount I |
needed to send them. But I would have always felt guilty when I |
looked at the cage. |

Entry | The web site is coming along. I have joined a love bird news |
group. Lots of messages but I am learning a lot. Living with |
Squeek is getting into a pattern. Most birds go to sleep at sun |
down. But Squeek will get up in the morning and be active before |
I go to work. When I come home for lunch he is always in his |
cuddle hut. He comes out again and is active until I go back to |
work. When I get home at night he spends a lot of time being |
active. He can stay up until 9:00 pm as long as there are lights |
on. He likes to visit me in the bedroom. I leave a towel that |
hangs from the end of the bed and he uses it to climb up. It |
seems that I am not as intimidating in a prone position. It is funny |
to feel his little feet pattering up the quilt. And when we are all in |
bed together it realy feels like a peacable kingdom. |
