Twigs Mask

Part two:
make three additional masks and apply them to a coloured or  textured background.

The image used in these exercises is called Lady Lillith by DG Rosetti, From Art Today, the image was avaliable for download with my standard  membership.
The lace texture is from a Gold and Lace Frame tutorial at Jan's Tutorials

This mask was made using
the instructions from the tutorial, substituting the
dither 75 texture. The background is Old
Paper and was added to
a new raster layer
The frame was made by
adding borders and
buttonising

This mask was made using the directions in the tutorial,
with a lace texture instead
of the twigs. The effect is quite subtle, with the lacy edges of the mask blending with Lady Lillith's gown.
The background was
added by creating a
newraster layer and
floodfilling with black
This mask was made by
making an elliptical
selection instead
of rectangular
The background was
added by creating a new
raster layer and floodfilling with colour that was
matched to skin tones
with the colour picker.
The frame was made by
adding a border and
using the straw wall
texture,  inner bevel and adding a drop shadow
