Hi, I'm Babe. I would like to tell my story.

When I was just a tiny kitten, I was homeless. It was raining very hard and I was wet and cold all the time. I was looking for a home, and I found this yard. I could see that it was warm and dry in the house. So when the lady of the house opened the door and said, "come in, little kitty" I ran right in.

They gave me milk and soft cat food to eat. I ate a little but I always had a full feeling in my stomach.

After a couple of days, they took me out of the house. I cried because I thought that they were going to make me stay outside, but they took me to another place. They called it "the vet's" but I didn't see any soldiers. Instead a man in a white coat said that I was anĉmic, and had fleas and worms. He didn't seem very optimistic about my survival. But I was okay. After all I had a home that was warm and dry. After the vet made me take a big pill, I was very hungry. I ate and ate. My humans thought I was hollow because I would eat my own food and then eat what Mandy didn't want. Then I would fill myself with the dry cat food that Zari likes so much.

Did I mention that there were other cats when I came here? Mandy and Zari didn't like me at first. Mandy would swat me and Zari would run away. I would do a little dance to invite them to play with me. I would stand on my tip toes, arch my back, and bounce back and forth. I found out what a mirror was when I saw another kitten, did the dance and then rushed behind the mirror. But there was no kitten behind it. I was so disappointed!

A few months later, Eve came to live with us. I didn't like her at first but we became close friends. We would wrestle everywhere. Eve always makes this funny noise when she wrestles, almost like growling. One day, Eve changed. She started to cry and wiggle. The humans said that she was "in heat" and she had to go and get The Operation. Eve calmed down after that.

A week after Eve came home, I started to feel funny myself. I wiggled and cried. I knew that I wanted something but I didn't know what that was. Now I was in heat and I had to get The Operation!!!!!! But everything turned out fine. I didn't want kittens anyhow. I want to stay a kitten forever and ever.

After a while, Snappy moved in. Snappy was very scared of us and she would hide from us. She was very small because her previous owners didn't give her good food like we had here. She ate a lot and she came into "heat" and had to have The Operation herself. She is still pretty shy.

Midnight, Polly, and Patience moved in. And then the fun started!

Midnight is the only boy. He is all black. He had to have a different operation, and he came home walking like a cowboy. Patience is black and white with spats, bib, and a star on her nose. Polly was black and white too. Her paw was crushed when she arrived. The vet said in a door. But she died from feline leukemia, which was sad.

By the way, I'm brown and grey with stripes and amber eyes and Snappy is a calico with one red ear and one black ear. She also has a "saddle" on her back.

So now we live together playing and running around.
