Ted in much happier days with "Stephanie". Unfortunately, the people who cannot accept that someone will just do evil things to be evil, blamed Stephanie for Ted's crimes because she broke up with him. However, Ted's murders did not start until he persuaded Stephanie to become his fiancee and then dumped her. Also Anne Rule speculated that Ted may have committed murder when he was sixteen, before he even met Stephanie.

Ted on tv the night before his execution. He had found God, and was eager to preach the evils of porn to Dr. James Dobson. I doubt the sincerity of his words because of his actions. After years of incarceration, and even right before his death, Ted still kept mum on the whereabouts of many of his victims. If his conversion was true, wouldn't he try to give these girls a proper burial? After all, it would be the Christian thing to do.

	Ted on trial. Ted used his pro se status to jump from the window of the jail law library. Contrary to the movie with Mark Harmon, the window was on the second story of the building. Ted sprained an ankle when he jumped, but this didn't hamper his escape. What did hamper his escape was his choice of cars. He choose a tiny sports car which could not travel the snowy mountain roads of Colorado. His second escape attempt was more successful. He escaped through the hold left after he removed a light fixture. Ted dieted until he was thin enough to pass through the very small opening. He went to Florida and commited the Chi Omega murders. Florida officials were very watchful of Bundy. For good reason.
