Why Wellesley?
If you have stumbled into my pages on a tour of Wellesley, you may have wondered:
What is this woman doing here?
Is Sweetkittie really a woman?
Why haven't they kicked her out of Wellesley?
Don't those pages belong in other neighborhoods?
When I first received my geocities account, my plan was to build something diverse. I choose Wellesley because my content would not entirely fit into any other neighborhood. Even though my cat pages would be okay in Heartland, the crime pages would not. And the rest of the pages had themes which were not in keeping with my interests. So I decided on Wellesley as my home.
And I am a woman. Least I was the last time I checked. And if I'm not, I'm wearing the best disguise that anyone has ever seen.
They can't kick me out just because my web content is different. Even though I know that I will never be a featured page, I can't be forced out of here. I'm entrenched and here I'll stay.
Maybe these pages belong in other neighborhoods, maybe they don't but isn't it nice to see something a little different?
