My Tape Trading Policy

First of all, I have very few Patty bootlegs. How is that possible, you ask? It's possibe because I have no equipment to make copies, so I never get involved in trading or tape trees. The few tapes I have I have no way of making copies of. For this reason, if you write to me requesting a trade or copies of tapes, I will turn you down. I may also just send you a link to this page so you understand where I'm coming from. If I DID have a dubbing deck I would probably be a lot more involved in trading, but as it is the whole situation works out pretty well.

For those of you who DO trade tapes, I'd just like to remind you that when you do a 2-for-1 trade (2 blank tapes for one bootleg) you are in effect buying the bootleg off that trader and they are making a profit through the artist's music that the artist never sees. When you trade a boot for a boot you are only profiting by getting new music, not by getting money. If you truly enjoy the artist you're getting the bootlegs of, you would not do a 2-for-1 trade because it's almost like you are stealing from the artist- taking money they could have made off of their music.

If you don't agree with my views on 2-for-1 tape trading that's fine- I'm not writing this out to condemn anyone, but rather to make people aware of the situation at hand. And now that you've read all this I'd like to just say that I'm usually a very nice person and you shouldn't hold all this against me :).
