Spoiled

April 16, 1996

I was spoiled by love.

By warmth and passion.

Spoiled by a caring touch.

Love was old fashioned.

From the first tender moment.

From the first innocent kiss.

Love was there

Spoiled by love and that’s what I miss.

A love so deep and rich!

The last tear falls.

My broken heart should mend.

Rebuilding the walls

Spoiled by love.

The memories hurt.

Sharp pain never ends

Face down in the dirt

Love spoiled me.

The walls protect

and I want to flee

Love left me jaded.
