Since 1994, parallel to its programs and services for survivors of violence against women, WCC has been working on family violence prevention through consultations conducted in collaboration with government agencies and non-government organizations across the country. In 1995, WCC convened a National Conference on the Prevention of Family Violence, and in 1997, together with partners in the 19 sites nationwide, it launched the National Family Violence Prevention Program (NFVPP).

With funds from Ford Foundation, the goals of RETIFVP in the next three years (2001-2004) is to multiply the impact of WCC's work by organizing knowledge and skills learned from WCC's experience in the prevention of and intervention in cases of violence against women and children.

Resource Pool

The RETIFVP maintains WCC's Clearinghouse for Family Violence Prevention, a collection of print and audio-visual materials on violence against women and children.
