Hi...I haven't had a chance to visit your whole site yet, but I thought I'd offer my remarks on your essay about Feminists For Life. I'm a prolifer whose ideology is considerably closer to theirs, and, say, PLAGAL's (http://www.plagal.org) than to the mor traditional groups (which often shoo me away anyway, so no love lost). Anyway, I just wanted to say that I found your essay to be really refreshing - this is the sort of dialogue we need between the two sides, not the stereotyping, insulting assumptions nd screaming that are unfortunately far more common from both sides. It's nice to see a prochoicer recognize that not all prolifers are out to keep women barefoot and pregnant, when not even all prolifers recognize that. Thank you. (Oh...and...I read your "special guestbook"...sick stuff! I hope you don't get that sort of feedback very often.)

Dear Mo Please understand that not all men seek to dominate women. Riane Eisler and Marija Gimbutas make very clear that Goddess oriented cultures included the male gender as well. Your (bad man good womyn) bias only serves to reinforce conservative stereotypes o feminism.

Thanks for your input, Tom. I don't recall ever saying in my Ancient Civilization page that men are bad and women are good, and it's unfortunate that the conservative stereotype often views any affirmation by women of women-positive ideas as man-bashing. There certainly is much work still to be done to make this world a truly woman-positive place, and that statement is not to be construed as anti-male.
