pages of intelligent rambling, i fell in love with the layout.
This is a comp of a bunch of different writers, put together
by Chris Barry of static-toe. The first 2 lines of the first article
set the tone of the zine, as well as tell you a lot about Chris,
who wrote the article... "Listen. One person can make a
difference. Don't believe that you have no control over
what goes on in your world." Writings on teenage rebellion,
government and religion, mixed up with Chris' beautiful
writings.... get it now... Write chris for static-toe too...

Mail not Fatal- $1/trade (kate ,rr#7, owen sound, ON, N4K 6V5)
- a kind of funny and ranty zine. Definetly has got attitude.
Rants on media, being young, shopping at zellers... this on
is pretty funny.

lotsa stuff about melanie (the gal who writes this), ani difranco,
moms, religion and being vegan.

this zine about going places your not supposed to... this
zine is pretty well known and loved by many... despite the
pretty boring layout (grr... i hate computer generated zines...)
it's packed full with sneaky details of sneaking around and

this is a personal and flowery zine that i really love. i
can't really explain it without ruining it.... but if yr a thoughtful
and contemplative and a just plain mooshy person you'll
love this.

Aardvark - 50c/trade (Nadine, 2316 Meriadoc dr., Pickering ON, L1X 2E3)
- this zine bounces back and forth between ranty
bitchiness to thoughtfulness and personal writings.... a good
article called "the undercover of anarchy", some record and
book reviews, and stuff about sex.

Morning Star - (Heather, 1543 Rawlings Dr., pickering ON, L1V 5B2)
- me and heather are both bag ladies. This is a pretty
cute mini-zine that's uncovers new though on ordinary life. i
really like the layout. This zine is alot like Minstrel heart...
both are great... rainy day zines...

Melt the Snow - 1$/trade (teri, 17 Mount batten Rd, Weston, ON, M9P 1Z1)

#3 has this big section on interveiws with fellow ziners...
about 12 in all. All were asked the same questions, so
you get to know everyone... there's also some personal
stuff about Teri... nice zine with neet binding...

Atlantic Coast Quarterly (Ryan.)
Intelligence just oozes out of this one. Political and
historic facts thrown in with intelligent humor makes this one
an interesting read. Hardcore record reviews.

Geeks unite! A really cute punky geeky comic 'zine. Lew also
does Quadraceptive infinitation and Iron Ink Distro.

Thoughts Adrift (c/o Jim, 4875 N. Magnolia Ave, #308, Chicago IL 60640)
Nice 'zine, classy. sXe, vegan, anti-fascist, human rights, but all
this is approached from a very personal and sensitive level,
a good combination.

Gibsamea Phenzine (c/o Lindsay gibbgjl@msn.com)
full size on nice coloured paper. Indie pop 'zine. Local
band and sonic unyon support. Computer layout.

Sweet Misery (c/o Katharyn 221 Tresane St., Oshawa, ON, L1J 1T9)
Full-size, nice photocopying job. Big emphasis on growing up
catholic, a subject which she approaches very maturely.
She also holds a lot of anger against the fashion industry.
Nice thought provoking 'zine. I can relate to Katharyn a lot.

done by the wonderful and talented Lisa. Personal and cute.
You'll feel nice after reading this one. She writes about
being a new vegan, animal rights, music, kinder toys, and
life. Write to her, she always writes really nice letters...

Literary 'zine. Collection of poetry and short stories.

beautiful 'zine, the best layout I've ever seen. Nice
thought-provoking writings jumbled together with lotsa nice
quotes. Fantastic 'zine and book reviews too. nicole is
now officially my adopted big sister.

Best comic 'zine I've read. Done by Ryan who's a really great
person. The comics are funny and personal... stories.
Many are based on Ryan's own life. You can also get his
mini comic for 25c (and a stamp i guess).

full size, girl music, friendship, growing up... directed towards
females. I like the little pictures Laura used. She also does
a 'zine called Reb'elle. Write for details.

Too Short (c/o Mike, 124 Anndale Dr. North York, On, M2n 2X5)
political, pro-action, pro-now. By far one of my favorite zines
ever.Informative, anti-fascist,a truly revolutionary 'zine. All
proceeds of #2 go to the Animal Liberation Front. This 'zine
supports such organizations as ARA, ALF and Food Not
Bombs. Something in here for everyone who has any type
of ambition, anger, and spirit left in them.

I'm Going to the Store Now (stamp/mix tape/trade

Formerly crushed Cranium. Music 'zine. Greydyn does
interviews and record reviews like none other, a personal
touch to everything. He likes good music too...

Amulet Fanzine ($1+2 stamps/trade

Her and her sister Janet (who does Skeeter) do Booger Brain
'zine distro. This is a perzine who lotsa content. She
focuses a lot on what it's like being fat, a girl, in highschool,
and to living in a small town. Very nice read. Write for
Booger Brain's catalogue too.

"Thinking 'zine" full size 'zine. The Author concentrates on
how he discovered faith and escape in visual art.

Politically slanted 'zine with honesty and edge. Many interesting
collages. A bit of indie pop stuff thrown in. Mike also does
a 'zine called Crappy Zine for Messed Up Losers... hmmm...

Helen is a beautiful and wonderful person. This is a pretty
'zine... personal stuff with great interviews, 'zine and record
reviews.

Bitch Dyke Whore (c/o Lisa, 4319 Indian Pipe Loop b103d, Olympia Wa, 98505)
Self-proclaimed riot-girl, bitchy and mad. Raw. Book and 'zine
reviews, women's health, sexual assault.

Smirk (c/o Emily, 459 East 13th St. Hamilton, ON, L9A 4A5)
I think Emily does another 'zine now. But this one was a very
cute 'zine, lots of indie pop. Nice read.

Quick Draw ($2/trade
