I just wanted to officially sign in the guestbook to extend a big, friendly WELCOME to our five newest members, Karen, Diane, Sharon, Susan and Loren!! Through your visits to the homepage, contact with members and attendance at our May general membership meeting, you now have insight into the nature of our group -- of who we are, what we believe in, some of our goals and accomplishments, and the fun we have. In the upcoming months I look forward to introducing each of you to the personal enrichment oppor unities available to you through our growth and development programs in my role as chapter program manager. When I joined, my focus was first on volunteering in my community. Then I easily made friends within the group, and really enjoyed the fun social things we do as friends and with our families. Next I started participating in the personal enrichment programs -- effective writing (for the first time since college), effective speaking, time management, team building forums -- and I grew as a person i ways I never expected when I first joined. So, that's what I look forward to sharing with you in the upcoming months. Do a little, do a lot, either way you do it for yourself and grow as a person. Again WELCOME!! I'm glad your part of our TEAM.

Many of us here in Muhlenberg are looking forward to the Future Directions retreat, which I hear will probably be held near our area, possibly at the Riveredge Hotel and Restaurant. We're going to need a retreat after the busy week we have coming up. Th D.O.T.S. social, planning committee meeting, Certification Party, and the Library Basket Bingo are all within the next 5 days! I am really delighted and proud about all that our chapter has accomplished in the last year, and how we have been "Learning t Grow" under the leadership of Kristina our President. At this time last year I was just joining the Women of Today -- It's my 1 year anniversary! And now, a year later, I clearly see myself as a Woman of Today for the rest of my life. HELLO MUHLENBERG WT -- I finally got to you! I have tried for several months to get here (Thanks Cheryl for "cluing" me into it!). Both my home computer and work computer had too little memory to get me full access to your web site. However, my office s finally getting closer to the 21st century in technology and I now have a fancy, schmancy new computer set up (including full-screen color monitor, color printer and disc/CD rom modem). WOW-- It's just like Christmas!! Anyway, I LOVE your web page -- you are certainly a busy, committed chapter! As US WT Personal Enrichment Program Manager I was particularly thrilled to see all the members participating in the PE areas! It was also fun to click into the guestbook and hear" from other US WT members! Now that I have my "modern computer" I look forward to "dropping in" often to see what's new in Muhlenberg! (P.S. Thank you for the animated greeting card. How did you girls know I needed cheered up. I just came back from the hospital visiting my dad,(who has 2 blood clots in his leg, a bad heart and bad lungs and also found out that my mom has small blood clots in her brain and high blood pressure which could cause a stroke if the bp doesn't come down soon) when my son got on the e-mail and said that I got something from the Women of Today. Boy did your card help to cheer me up! Thanks again. Now, congratulations on your awards at Boards. I am SO PROUD of you. I love watching your enthusiasm grow and grow. Cheryl, you weren't the only one crying when you got your National Pin. I was crying with you. I am so proud of you. It is a great honor to get one of these pins and you so justly deserved this honor. Treasure it with all your heart. I know the 1st one I got is still very precious to me. What makes it even more special is that the National President personally gave it to you. C ngratulations again. Keep up the great work. This web page gets better and better.
