Community Projects

Pep for Polls -  An annual event handing out snacks and drinks at various polls thru our communities.

MHS Scholarship -  Annual project that donates a $100.00 scholarship to a student at Muhlenberg School District that excelled in volunteerism.

Nursing Home Visits -  Various times thru the year members visit local nursing homes.  e.g.  At Halloween we visit in costume with our kids and at Christmas we Christmas Carol.

Muhlenberg Community Days -  A annual event held on the grounds of Muhlenberg School District sponsored by the Muhlenberg Parks and Recreation Department.  This event has rides and stands that are all sponsored by local community organizations.

Caring Apples -  In stores there are trees that have names of children that need supplies for the school year.  the chair will pick a name an purchase the products to donate to the child.

Witches Pot -  Annual community event held in front of the Temple Borough Hall.  Treats are handed out on Halloween and a second day depending on the date of Halloween.  Members who attend dress as witches and hand out treats to the children.

Buckets of Sunshine -  This national project collects baskets of items to be donated to local charities.  e.g. Toiletries donated to the Women in Crisis

Muhlenberg Recreation - Halloween -  Volunteering time to help out with the Muhlenberg Parks and Recreations Parks Dept. Halloween Party.

Make a Difference Day -  A national program, the chairman runs a project that makes a difference.

Coats for Kids -  A local community project run by different businesses in the area.  Our chapter collects them from members and drops them at a local drop box.

Toys for Tots -  A community project run by the U.S. Marine Corp..  We collect a new toy from all members who can participate and drop at the local drop box.

Angel Tree -  A community project that the chairman chooses names off the local tree and purchase items for the children.

Thanksgiving for the Needy -  Chairman picks a family or place and we gather Thanksgiving dinner or other items to be determined by the chairman.
