Wow.....it has been almost five years since I was date raped by my boyfriend. FOr the past five years i have let the shame and guilt of that night effect my life and my relationships with people around me. I trust no one. It has taken me until now to get help and this is the first time I have came out in the open and talked about it. My rape was swept under the rug and was never talked about or delt with...my parents thought it would go away if they handled it like it. But they are wrong becuase I live with the pain evryday. Your sight has made me realize that I am not alone in my struggle to survive each day and that the feelings that I feel are felt by others who have felt my pain. My name is Adrianne and I have been on Weight Watchers for four weeks (5.0 pounds!!). I am also in charge of an organization called SOASA: Speak Out Against Sexual Abuse. It is my theory that our issues with food run far deeper than just compulsivity.
