Lisana's Life

Wednesday, January 6, 1999

Jev and I had another lazy day today. He got a couple more job-related phonecalls, but other than that, we watched movies and played Scrabble most of the day.

We did have a bit of a problem earlier, where I was answering e-mail to a friend, and looking for an image I wanted to attach; he was telling me how I should do it, when I really didn't want his advice. I let him know I knew what I wanted to do, but he still th ought I should do it his way. Since it's his computer, I just quit what I was doing, and went off to use the restroom, and give us both a little time to cool off.

I heard him head downstairs and talk to his sister, who'd been visiting, and so instead of going back to the bedroom when I was done, I went down to where he and Cindy were talking. He asked me to come back up and read a note he'd left me on the screen, and to go ahead and do my thing, without him there so he wouldn't be tempted to tell me how to do things again.

I felt bad for making him upset, but I'd wanted to make a point, too. I just don't like being told how I should do something, when I already know exactly what I'm doing. Just something we'll have to work out, I guess; and one more reason I'll be glad when we each have our own computer.

We smoothed things over, I got my message sent, and after dinner we played a couple more games of Scrabble with his Mom. I stole the last one by a big margin, so Jev's been threatening to 'torture' me. Now if onlly my hand wasn't aching, I think 'torture' could be fun!
