We stayed at the historic Gresham hotel, where Liz Taylor once stayed, and the only place in Ireland where the Beatles ever stayed. If you don't stay there, go and have tea there, it's grand. Here I am beaming with pride, with the tea menu.

This was great for me - dinner with all these females! I work with nothing but males so I was starved for a girls' night out. Next to Mel is her office mate Alison, across from me is Alison's sister Valerie, and the other gal is Alison's closest friend Lisa. We are at the "Rhino Room."

Here we are in front of Trinity College, though it's kind of dark. The next day Melissa and I went back there to see the Book of Kells, amidst lots of shoving French people.

We attended evensong service at St.Patrick's Cathedral. Despite the overwhelming Catholicism of southern Ireland, it is actually Church of Ireland (Anglican). St.Patrick is said to have baptised heathens at a well on this site, so it has been a holy place since around 400 A.D.
