Ah-OO-Gah! Snapshot of self and Jurjen.

Shazam-O-Gram - 14 Nov 2000

And then it came to pass that Carolyn the Adventuress worked backstage at a play in the Hague, as you may remember from last time we read a story together, O Best Beloved.

And Friends of Carolyn back in the Far-Far Away Land of Home praised Carolyn for such a thing. Good theatre karma, they said. Help you deal with your Evil Work Stress, they said. Meet lots of other Nice Lunatic People, they said.

And Lo, they were right. Carolyn has, since the show performed, found herself much in demand...plied with dinner by Dutch friends Sander and Annemieke in their cosmopolitan apartment and invited back for an evening of Baked-Goods Alchemy this Friday. And, in particular, in very high demand with a certain dreamy-eyed young man who played the noble County Paris in the production. *Shazam!*

That's why this week's word is a French phrase: coup de foudre. Lightning strike. And why this is a short update, O Best Beloved. I may be a woman of many words. A Woman of, perhaps, Way More Words Than Are Strictly Necessary. But I am at a loss for words, these days. For those who agree that a picture is worth a thousand of those, snaps are available on the home page - http://geocities.datacellar.net/minsq/ and scroll down a bit.

Forsooth, even as Carolyn takes the time to get acquainted with the aforementioned young man, she forgetteth not to have adventures!

Katia's super-fun Halloween & Birthday Party in her tiny apartment in lovely downtown Antwerp, Belgium - photos by pal Dirk Jumpertz: http://www.jumpertz.net/friends/party-katia.html

Recent weekend trip to London with Gery - by car: http://geocities.datacellar.net/minsq/london.html

Also a weekend visit from Fabulous Swede Sharifa. No photos yet, but we conducted secret lab experiments and discussed fomenting a world revolution...after all, she is a chemical engineer, I'm a systems engineer, and the Young Man in Question (whose name is Jurjen, by the way) is a UN staff member.

And, in rehearsal to sing Xmas tunes in Brussels again this year, December 10th at the Palais des Beaux-Arts! http://users.belgacom.net/Carols_for_Christmas/

Smooches,
