Hi everyone,
Just a quick update.
Larry visited recently - he wrote a great travelogue (with pictures)
here:

He also took some snaps of my (messy) apartment, so I put them and some
more ferret photos here:

Then a family friend, Aleta, visited and I have some photos of us in
Antwerp here:

And, I discovered that while I made a page of photos of the most
excellent New Year's Eve party that we went to, I never linked it.
Hmph. But the page is up now:

I've been away from home way too much recently, going alternately to Nice or Düsseldorf on business. I'm booked in Düsseldorf almost full-time through May. The next email is bound to be a Düsseldorf-O-Gram; it's a nicer town that I expected in the industrial Ruhr zone, and I can document the wonders of the Incredibly Postmodern Hotel I've been staying at (http://www.innside.de). Even the food there is postmodern, I'm telling you. Anyway, I'm trying to enjoy myself but it's kind of a trial - I don't like being away from home anymore, and the project is very...um...challenging, shall we say. I get home at the end of the week very stressed, and it takes me a while to normalize, and I always have a thousand things to get done, even though I want to enjoy my scant time with Jurjen. But it'll be over in just a few weeks, and I have a few long weekends planned in the meantime, for sanity.
Also I'm trying to figure out when and by what means I can move back to the States. Things are looking better in Seattle for me, as far as job openings in my line of work, and I'm still inquiring within Agilent. I hope to have a plan soon, but it's very hard to make any decisions.
In better news, I finally sent off the petition for a K-1 fiancé visa for importing Jurjen. Normally you apply from within the States, and sometimes a consulate will help you apply when you are abroad, but we couldn't get any humans on the phone from the Consulate in Amsterdam so we sent it directly.
Also, our theatre group just got the rights to perform "The Vagina Monologues," so I have hopes of auditioning. The show will go up in June, but other that that we don't know anything yet. Think good thoughts for me!
Take care,
C a r o l y n
