During my surfing of the net...and meeting people, I've ran across certain poems, songs, or verses that mean alot to me...some of these below were written for me by special friends, some I wrote myself.....or is something that catches my heart..read them slowly....feel what they mean....and enjoy...
The Light
The universe has always been grey,
Various shades.
Some lighter, some not.
And one can live like that.
There is a light in the distance,
Coming closer, closer.
A light like you have never seen,
Unbelievable, unreal, wonderful.
Pushing away all traces of darkness,
Warming you,
Illuminating your existance,
Allowing you to see as never before.
Let me live in your light.

Call to Me
Call to me and I am there.
Running to be by your side.
Being apart, across the miles,
Has torn at us both.
Though we have yet to touch,
You touch me with your words.
Caressing every part of me,
Body and spirit.
And in all the worlds we share,
Though some would laugh,
I can freely say,
"I am yours"

The Indigo of Night
You stare into the night sky,
Darkness filling your mind.
Small twinkles of light and hope
Struggle to shine,
Only to be cut off by grey clouds building.
A cold breeze that would otherwise be ignored
Sends chills through you,
Helping your hands to shake.
Overhead, planes take people to and from parts of their lives,
Each with a hope of a new sunrise.
And as the emptyness surrounds you,
You embrace the indigo of night.

Eggshells
What you had, is lost,
What you had, was it ever really yours?
Why does love have to be made of eggshells?
Your heart cries out with silent tears, "Oh please, don't hurt me!"
I only wanted you to hold me with your voice.
Why does love have to be made of eggshells?
Seemingly strong, once cracked, they fall to pieces.
And even if they can be put back together, it just ain't the same.
Why can't it be like bones, that get stronger after each break?
Damn it, why does love have to be made of eggshells?

The Walls
You walk away,
Confident in the choice.
You can't help but glance back,
Seeing the walls go up.
Rushing, straining ..... your soul screaming!
You hurl yourself against the walls,
Oblivious to the pain .....
Beating the walls with bloody fists,
You collapse on the floor,
Choking out the words, "Don't leave me, don't leave me!"
Inside the walls your words are heard,
And with closed eyes, they turn ..... and go.

Alone..
I use to stand up tall
but now I walk with my head bent.
I use to welcome the new day
but now I dread the dawn.
I use to have dreams
but those were taken away.
I use to be loved
but now I am alone.
But I will make it
I will be strong.
I have to, you see
for ME.

The world was once bright
but now it has gone dark.
At one time I faced the new day
with a smile on my face.
But now it is all I can do
to trudge through the hours
and cope with everything
that crumbles beneath me.

Help me find peace.
Help me stop the voices.

Because I am lost
and alone

Hurting
Hurting is that feeling inside
when you can't swallow the tears any longer.
Hurting is watching your best friend
walk away from you when you know he is hurting too.
Hurting is not being able to help him
because you can't help yourself.
Hurting is loving so much
that when it isn't enough,
you feel like you can't go on.
Hurting is having to go on anyway.

I can't control the hurt
Until I know why you are doing the things you are doing.
I've loved you for so long,
my knight in shining armor,
my love,
my life,

When I met you..
When I met you, I had no idea
how much my life
was about to be changed
but then, how could I have known.
A love like ours happens
once in a lifetime.
You were a miracle to me,
the one who was everything
I had ever dreamed of,
the one I thought existed
only in my imagination.
And when you came
into my life,
I realized
that what I had always thought
was happiness
couldn't compare to the joy
loving you brought me.
You are a part of everything
I think and do and feel,
and with you by my side,
I believe that anything is possible.
