Growing up I was FAR from fascinated with the idea. If you're a redhead, you know the names . . . "Carrot-top", "Red", and so on, and so on. Hated every minute of it. And the longer the hair, the more fascination with it. I would have people want to touch my hair, especially the guys I went out with when I got older. What did they think touching it was going to do for them?!

Got my red hair from my Dad's side of the family where my Gram and almost all of Dad's siblings had red hair. But only two grandchildren turned out to be redheads - figure that one out.

I was once married to a man who, I found out much too late, was attracted to me because of my hair. After we were married, he said, "I've always wanted a redhead" ~ like I was some kind of rare breed or something!! Sheesh! As far as I know, he still doesn't have a redhead! ~giggle~

Being a redhead hasn't been all that fun. The "redheaded temper" rumors? All true . . . take my word for it. Sunburn? You bet! In about 15 minutes. I've never seen myself tanned, and I'm especially susceptible to heat exhaustion. And I seem to have a harder time recovering from illnesses or healing. Fun, huh?

Surfing around one day, I found a "bajillion" links for redheads and about redheads! Amazing! A few redhead organizations out there, too, so I joined them! If you're a redhead, you might want to check 'em out!
