And I was falling fast Caught up in this dream A smile upon my face In my eyes a gleam
I thought I had a chance It seemed we shared so much-- Beliefs about life And love and such
But you fell for another Leaving me as "just a friend" My fantasies were shattered My heart may never mend
And now I'm falling fast Waking from my dream Realizing things Are never what they seem
Still sometimes for a moment I forget and slip away Unattainable dreams Become the price I have to pay
