I know that I am immortal,
for I am a part
of eternity tonight.
My soul stands high.
There is no space
that is vaster than my heart,
and fingers of my thought
can touch the sky.
Because God has revealed
his truth to me,
because there is no limit
to his power,
there is no limit
to how far I see;
there is no limit to his time.
The hour
holds all eternity.
The night
is one giant song of beauty.
and the day
flies toward me swiftly
on the wings of light
to teach me more
of what God has to say.

Earlier than any spoken prayer
there was an innate longing
to probe the frontiers of the mind
and disperse the subtle mists
that veil the secrets of the universe.
There was a thirst for learning
from wine of wisdom yet to be
a deep and inner knowledge
of a force still undefined;
there was a glimpse of luminoscity.
Earlier than any written word
there was a radiant gleam
of hope, to light the quiet mind
and silhouette a dream.

Let there be light and shadow
sufficient to protect from blinding.
Let there be oases enough to give rest
from scorching, burning heat.
Let there be clouds enough to spare
tender sprouts from being withered.
Let there be light for the mind
and the heart of each child -
But let there ne a screen against
too much all at once.
Let there be resting places
sheltered by God's wisdom,
provided by the father of us all.
Unaffected by our urgent cries
that we want to know everything,
do everything, be everywhere now.
Let God's divine order prevail.
May there be only as much light
as we can use to see clearly.
May we always trust that God's will
for us is true, is enough,
and will prevail for our highest good.

Who am I?
I am me, the unique creation of my loving father;
I am the echo of love,
the whisper of peace,
the mirror of perfection.
I am one soul with many faces,
one mind with many voices,
one body with many limbs.
What am I?
I am flesh, blood and bone,
Constructed in perfect order and precision.
Filled with the very essence of life,
That beyond which there is no geater.
When am I?
I am always now.
I have lived in the yesterdays
And I will live again in the tomorrows,
Yet they are illusive and evasive.
Now is my eternal being.
Now is my forever and whenever.
Where am I?
I am here.
I have travelled many places,
Most these eyes have not seen,
Yet I can never be anywhere but where I am,
And I am always right there.
Why am I?
I am because I am.
Because God has a plan, a blueprint,
Of which I am a vital part,
Because I need to be,
To explain the essence of God in me,
Because my life is my perfect expression now.
I am because I am.

In quiet periods of prayer
We feel the healing presence near
and words Christ spoke in Galilee
are spoken to us inwardly:
Be thou made whole!
Be thou complete!
clear, active mind,
strong, agile feet,
blood flowing free
to every part;
sound, limber joints,
strong vital heart;
each sense and organ,
cell and nerve
serving as it was meant
to serve -
free of hindrance,
pain or strife -
the glad expression'of life.
In quiet periods of prayer
we feel the healing presence near,
assuring the receptive soul:
I am that life. Be thou made whole!

I flee from the wild bustle
And hurried confusion
To the cool depths of my castle.
People shuffle outside under
Yokes of time and duty,
But I am free.
No eyes peer,
No voices pierce
My silent room;
Cool shades of peace surround me
And I can think and dream
Calmly and alone.
Outside, silly clattering people
Make their way through life
Without thinking or seeing
Or listening.
Neither beauty nor sunlight is theirs.
Soon I must leave my room
Again to face the noisy world,
But as I leave.
a little piece leaves with me
To tide me over.
