Meditation- To Reflect On

Meditation is a word that should be in our daily vocabulary. In our busy lives we seem to forget how important it is to reflect on our inner self,releasing stress in a healthy way. There are many different ways to meditate: looking at a sunset or sunrise,stopping to smell Mother Earth,sitting quietly,letting our minds be free of daily thoughts,focusing on inner spirituality. Its important to take time to breath and focus,listening to ourselves with no one to interfere with our thoughts. A place to go that we can call our own. Our personal space. We have a wonderful meditaion tool handy at all times,Mother Earth. She gives us energy helping us to feel spiritually awakened. Take time for your mind. You will be healthier, happier, and wiser!

Candles and meanings: (Light a candle to set any mood to a room)

Red---courage,strength,and passion

Orange---joy,and optimism

Yellow---clarity of sunlight, and clear focus

Green---healing,rebirth, and abundance

Blue---serenity,and inner truth

Purple---inner vision,and inner true

White---spiritual awakening, and attunement

Charkra's---Wheel of spinning energy.

1st chakra is Red and is located at the base of the spine. Its function is survial and grounding to the earth. The stone is snowflake.

2nd charkra is Orange and located in the lower abdomen. The function is desire,pleasure,sexuality,and procreation. The stone is Carnelian.

3rd charkra is Yellow and located in the region of the navel,along the 8th thoracic vertebrae. The function is feelings and emotions. The stone is Citrine.

4th charkra is Green and is located in the heart and chest area. Its function is love. The stone is Rose Quartz.

5th charkra is Blue and is located in the throat area. The function is communication and higher truths. The stone is Sodalite.

6th charkra is Purple and located in the pineal gland,the area between the eyes. Its function is intuitive sight and clear seeing. The stone is Amethyst.

7th charkra is Violet and located in the crown of the head. The funcion is perfect understanding and a higher state of consciousness. The stone is Crystal.

Brainwave meanings:

Theta---Enchance Creativity,memory and vivid imagery.

Stones and Meaning:

Amethyst~ Cuts to fears transforming them to wisdom. Protects from accidents. Meditation stone.

Adventurine~Usually mistaken for Jade because of the green color. Has leadership qualities and aids in making decisions. Stimulates the heart and gives adventure in love & sport.

Black Onyx~ Improves concentration & devotion, which is why it is often found in rosaries. Black Onyx is used to help one change habits. Mexican Onyx (white and brown chalcedony) is said to help one sleep. Sard (reddish brown chalcedony) was regarded as a protection against incantations and sorcery. It was also believed to sharpen the wits of the wearer.

Blue Topaz~ Good for clearly verbalizing what you couldn't put into words. Replaces negativity with joyfulness helping you see the whole picture of a situation ruling out uncertainty. Promotes peace, calms emotions & aides in forgiveness. Good stone for the throat; communication skills. .

Hematite~ A reflective stone, reflecting out negativity. Has no real power of it's own accept the ability to reflect back what others send. Neutral and grounding. Good to wear out in the open whenever in a sticky situation.

Lapis Lazuli~ Called "The Stone Of Heaven" by the ancient Egyptians as it was though by many to be the stone apon which were carved the laws given to Moses. Gives hope & awareness. It is said that Lapis helps one understand the mind. It helps to expand your viewpoint. It is good for connecting the heart and the mind when worn over the heart. Legend has it that Lapis Lazuli would protect the wearer from evil. Lapis was a cure for melancholy and for certain types of fever. .

Blue Laced Agate~ Provides cool soothing energy. Good for neutrilizing red energies like anger, infections, & fevers.

Carnelian~ Protects from evil, grounds energies and assists in concentration & mental focus. It is a wish stone. Promotes health, long life & good fortune. Carnelian is used for clear thinking. It is said to help balance creativity and mental processing.

Garnet~ Can enhance the wearer's internal fire within. Can be used to stay on task with issues at hand or with loved ones. Can help to find where one's inner truth resides & activate that knowlege to work form it's power.
