You Promised
You promised me forever, you promised me your love-- you promised me everything I had ever dreamed of.
There I was in happy bliss- content with all this.
But then you changed- you weren't my dream. you put up a front, just a scheme...
I had morals, I had vowed- I couldn't take that back now.
You got tired of me for a slave, you decided you needed some change.
You thought you knew me and because of, that you thought I'd be waiting for you to come back.
I gave you so many chances- I said "you'd better turn around, it won't be too much longer now."
You thought I was calling a bluff, just so you would change. But that's not it- I don't play mind games.
One day you will wake up and realize that when I call you a jackass, it's not because I'm angry- you really are a stupid animal.
