2007 flew by – everyone says that time goes faster as we get older, but I’d rather attribute it to keeping up with three blossoming little ladies!

My parents have been an amazing support to me and the girls through this life transition – I’m glad I chose to move close to them (and even more that they picked such a nice place to retire – within walking distance to the beach)! They help me emotionally, physically (with the girls especially!) and financially when necessary. We have all appreciated having the time to influence and enjoy helping the girls become “Little Women”!

Kyleigh turned 11 last year – she still does competitive gymnastics and achieved her goal of getting a “9” in every event at Level 5. She moves on to level 6 for 2008. She started Middle School and made the Honor Roll for the first quarter and is on track to do so for the rest of her educational career! She loves USC football, but since my Alma Mater doesn’t have a gymnastics team, she is dreaming of going to UCLA. My dad “Papa” has been a tremendous help bring Kyleigh home on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9pm!

Amanda is now 9 and she is a wonderful reminder of my sister, Drina. She loves to dance & sing and has the perfect melancholy personality that Drina did. She has struggled with the 3R’s (Reading, ‘Riting and ‘Rithmatic) - but I did as well, and with the extra efforts of my mom “Grandma Carol” and some devoted teachers she is blossoming!

Lauren is 8-going-on-18 and a full handful! We call her “Minnie-Me” and she lives up to it! What I must have put my parents through? She dreams of being an Ice Skater – this fall she started taking lessons at our local Ice Rink and has progressed quickly from “Intro” to “Alpha” in half the expected time. She has inspired all of us and we all got skates for Christmas.

My year has been a balance of “Mommy time” and “Me time” – Kyle has requested to share them 50-50 but since my life goal was to be a full-time mom, it’s hard to give them up (I don’t think he wants to share the business we built together 50-50 either)! For now we alternate weekends and I give him the Friday nights of my weekends so the girls don’t have to commute from his new home which is 40 minutes away. I love my resting time which helps me recharge my batteries so I feel I can give my girls what they need.

In November I took the girls to Disneyland for the first time in a year (I’ve been an Annual Passholder since I was pregnant with Kyleigh but hadn’t renewed our passes in 2006). In a line for a ride Kyleigh & I were talking with a woman who was a “Cast Member” and she’d talked about all their benefits and Kyleigh suggested I should work there, too. I checked into it and now I’m a “Wine Ambassador” at California Adventure!

USC – yes, I’ve been a season ticket holder and financial supporter (when married as a USC Associate and now as Cardinal & Gold) for over 20 years! My parents (especially my mom), the girls and I love to go to the home games and away ones when we can! I wasn’t at this year’s Rose Bowl due to my new job at Disney’s California Adventure, but I’m excited that the girls will be with me for most of the home games in 2008 as well as the UCLA game.

Amway/Quixtar – yes, I’ll always be a part of that business!! Check out my website: http://www.kbeatty.Qhealthbeauty.com
The girls love the XS Energy Drinks, “Brainiums”, Glister toothpaste (really!), Artistry cosmetics, and more! I love having a business that gives me the opportunity to travel, inspire and develop leaders around the world.

My brother, Blair (nee Robert) – he’d worked for AT&T for nearly 30 years and is looking forward to new business & travel opportunities, esp. in Hawaii.

Well, I missed my goal of getting this out to you before the new year – I can’t believe it’s almost Mid-Februaray already! Maybe the only thing that is going faster than last year is this one!

Keep in touch!
