Welcome back, alums!!!
Welcome to the virtual home of the Out of the Blue Alumnae Association. On these pages, you will find information about OOTBAA, our upcoming events and reunions, and our alumnae.
who are we?
We are the alumnae of Out of the Blue, the first women's a cappella group founded at Duke University in 1980. Basically, this means that we used to meet several times a week to stand in a circle and create music together. There's much more to tell, but that's a good starting place.
Now, we are doctors and marketing executives, lawyers and teachers. We are music conductors and writers, mothers and professors. Some of us are HR directors, accountants, and stockbrokers; others are artists, homemakers, or public relations specialists. Many of us are in graduate or medical school, while others have gleefully left the ivory tower with papers in hand.
But we are all singers.

what's new?
Some
dirt from Meghan O'Connell Mahoney, Lori Wagner Daigle, Laura Barkman Smith, Debbie Wellner Heinrich, Laura Magistro Wells, Angela Howell Winter, Leslie Masten, Carol Cracciolo Laub...several e-mail updates...a CD announcement from the current OOTB group...new pictures of OOTB '98-'99 and OOTB '99-'00...a list of OOTBAA birthdays on the upcoming events page, and more...

why am I getting javascript errors?
Yahoo! Geocities is giving us a free web site, and in return, we have to deal with the forced advertisements (the popup ads). Unfortunately, the new ads use Javascript, which generates errors in certain browsers. (Our pages aren't generating these errors; we don't use Javascript, just plain HTML.) Since we need to save our funds for newsletters and events, we're stuck with this until we figure out another alternative. NOTE: To minimize the ad, click the up arrow in the top right corner. The arrow changes to an X; if you click the X, it'll close the ad entirely.
