Think of the many Americans who have died to protect our rights and way of life. Remember the patriots who dreamed of this country, dreamed of freadom, and died to see their dream become reality. Remember the men and women who have fought in distant lands for the past two hundred years to keep that dream alive. Have you said a prayer of thanks today?
Think of the American troops now stationed in "hot spots" all over the world today. Think of your neighbor, son, daughter, father, mother, friend who may have to scarifice his or her life to protect this dream. Have you said a prayer for them today?
Think of the American soldiers held as prisoners of war. Wear a yellow ribbon as a sign of support for them and their families. Have you said a prayer for them today?
Remeber you grandparents and parents today. Think of the contributions they have made to you life. Think of the ideals that they tried to teach you. Have you honored them today?
Think of all the people who are hurting, dying, and dreaming the dream of peace and freedom. Take a few minutes to count your blessings today. Take time to appreciate all that you have today because someone was willing to fight for a dream.
Take a few minutes from your fun today to remember the many gifts you received from Americans who gave their lives to give you today.
