somewhere in the depths
a little girl is sleeping
dreaming of what used to be
a smile on her face, yet her cheeks are stained from weeping

i am a forest, dark and uninviting
my happiness hidden in a maze of trees
my soul is ensnared in a trap of briars
i wait for my prince to pass through my maze and release me with ease

i wish i were an ocean
at least then i could let my fears wash over me
and hide beneath the surface, unreachable
to surface when ready, once again to see

but i am only a forest
tied up and whipped with the sins of pride
cut down from my height of contentment
not able to build myself back up, i've tried

If you have a running ICQ client (you have ICQ) you can Chat Me, ICQ-Me and/or Add Me to your contact list. Netscape Users: If you are prompted to Pick App or Save File, select Pick App and browse to the location of your ICQ.EXE file (usually in C:\Program Files\ICQ\ICQ.EXE).
