Italian Road Bird (Roast Chicken)
1 whole roasting chicken
butter
Spices to taste. I use parsley, garlic powder, salt, pepper, small amount of sage, and oregano.

Check your cookbook for oven temperature and amount of time to roast. Mix softened butter and spices together. Rub the chicken INSIDE and out with this mixture. It's very important to rub all over the inside and most all the mixture should be used on the inside of the chicken. This also works for rotisserie chicken, if your grill is so equipped.
