For the recipes listed below, you will notice "Add spices to taste". This means spices YOU like, such as oregano, basil, parsley, garlic, etc. If a spice is considered a main ingredient of a particular dish, it shall be listed as such. Experiment; figure out what suits you and your family best!
Macaroni Casserole
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease casserole dish or pan. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain. Brown hamburger in skillet. Drain. Mix together macaroni, hamburger and tomato sauce. Add spices to taste. Spread mixture in casserole pan. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Bake 15 mins.
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease casserole dish or pan. Brown hamburger in skillet. Drain. Mix hamburger, veges, soup, spices to taste. Spread in casserole dish. Spread mashed potatoes over top of hamburger mixture. Sprinkel shredded cheese on top. Bake 15 mins.
Brown hamburger in large skillet. Drain. Stir together all ingredients in skillet. Add spices to taste. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until potatoes are browned.
Brown hamburger in skillet. Drain. Place in large pot with tomato sauce and kidney beans. Mix in chili powder to taste. Cook over medium low heat for an hour or two, stirring occasionally.
Preheat oven to 350°. Cover bottom of casserole dish or pan with corn chips. Spread chili over chips. Top with shredded cheese. Place in oven until cheese is melted.
Brown hamburger. Drain. Cook macaroni according to pkg directions. Drain. Mix together all ingredients in sauce pan, adding italian spice mix to taste. Heat through.
Set oven on broil. Mix hamburger and steak sauce. Form into patties. Wrap a slice of bacon around each patty (overlapping is fine). Broil for 15-20 mins.
Brown hamburger. Drain. Return hamburger to skillet. Add gravy and mushrooms. Heat through. Add sour cream. Heat through. Serve over egg noodles, cooked according to package directions.
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain. Return to pot. Mix noodles, soup and chicken. Add milk to thin mixure, approximately 1 cup or so. Heat through.
Check your cookbook for oven temperature and amount of time to roast. Mix softened butter and spices together. Rub the chicken INSIDE and out with this mixture. It's very important to rub all over the inside and most all the mixture should be used on the inside of the chicken. This also works for rotisserie chicken, if your grill is so equipped.
Preheat oven to 375°. Chop mushrooms, garlic and shallots finely. Saute in olive oil; add wine when mixture starts to dry. Set aside to cool. Wash hens running fingers under skin to loosen. Spread garlic butter under skin. Stuff hens with mushroom mixture. Sprinkle with oregano, salt and pepper. Wrap in foil and bake for 40 mins. Uncover, brush with butter, and bake until golden.
Steam asparagus until done but not mushy, approximately 10 mins. Cool. Divide stalks into bunches of 4 or 5. Wrap with swiss first, then ham. Close with toothpicks. Bake until cheese melts, but not runny.
