John Doolittle

On June 14, 2001 we attended a reception at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in honor of Professor John Doolittle and his new book, Don McNeill and His Breakfast Club.

The event was sponsored by John's publisher, the University of Notre Dame Press, which issued the work as part of its history of radio series.

John is an Associate Professor of Journalism at American University in Washington, D.C.

We have been friends with John and his wife, Dr. Ellen Baker (who is about to publish a book) for years. His enthusiasm, which is manifest in this photo, is one of John's most prominent features. Where he gets his energy is a mystery. He must do something besides eat Wheaties for breakfast.
