Middlefork Lake, Red River, NM

In August, 2000, my stepson Ruane Larkin and my grandson Rory and granddaughter Sara, all from Upstate New York, went on a tour of Northern New Mexico with my stepdaughter Kathi and grandson Stephen from Albuquerque, NM. 

Ruane sent this card from Red River, NM where he and Rory stayed with some friend of Ruane's in a cabin in the mountains.

They were very much struck by the beauty of the Sangre de Christo Mountains. "Yesterday we hiked up 11,500 fee to a place called Lost Lake," Ruane wrote.
