ADOPTION
I'm searching for my son Michael
who was relinquished for adoption in 1969
Yes it's true! I found him on Jan 7th, 1999. We had first contact in the guestbook on my website Jan 8th, and our reunion, which was absolutely wonderful, was Jan 23rd.
After over 10 years of searching, hoping and praying, on Jan 7th, 1999, a wonderful person (who must remain anonymous) gave me my son's first (adoptive) name, Charles, and in 5 hours, using connections on the net, and searching skills I've gained in the past two years helping others search, I spoke to a member of his family and gave her my website url so my son could check it out and see a picture of himself as an infant and read his non-identifying info; in 23.5 hours he and I had first contact!
After nearly 30 years, I gave my son another hug. This time it didn't rip my heart out.
