I want
  wings stronger
than any breath I have ever taken
I want
  to watch the unpinning
  of the morning sky
and know that the light will heal me
I want
  the crow-winged
  nightmares to fade
I want
  to hold the thousand
small shadows so that I know
  darkness cannot hurt me
I want
  to find my place,
  find the words born
of flesh and and blood and bone
I want
to take flight on a star-spiralled
  night with these words,
  knowing the light and darkness
  entertwined in my bones
will carry me into a place
of shelter, a place of refuge.
