Oh well. Guess it's not a secret anymore!!

Okay - I have to admit it. I adore my husband, but I completely lust after MICHEAL T. WEISS who plays Jarod on NBC's "The Pretender."



Isn't he gorgeous?
Tall, dark and handsome… just the way I like 'em.

His character on "The Pretender" is a fantasy come true.
Jarod is:
  • Brilliant. It is his incredible genius that made him a Pretender, a person who can become anyone he wants in any situation.

  • Sensitive. Jarod was stolen from his family as a young boy because of his special gifts. His main purpose now that he has escaped is to find his family and to help others, especially families, who have been wronged or hurt.

  • Innocent. Because he was locked away in the Centre for most of his life (don't ask -watch the show), there are many things he has never done or tried: Ice cream, Pez candy (his special love), chocolate milk, trick or treating, Twinkies… He brings a child's innocence to every new discovery

  • Strong and determined. To find his family and to see justice done.

  • Funny. He has a wonderful sense of humor that is both playful and wicked, depending on the situation.

  • Gorgeous. Okay, I said that already. But it bears repeating.


The show is very complex at times. A cross between the X-Files and Twin Peaks. But the characters are great. In addition to Jarod there is Sydney, Broots (not in the picture below) and the very beautiful yet vengeful and cold Miss Parker (we have never learned her first name).

Miss Parker and Jarod both grew up in the Centre and they have a special connection. At times there really seems to be some great chemistry. At times they just want to kill each other. It is much fun to watch their relationship play out. There are several sub-plots dealing with the Centre and the death of Miss Parker's mother, but you will have to check out other Pretender sites for that.

I just want to sigh a little more over Mr. Weiss
