If you feel something underfoot... don't worry. Just keep your lint brush handy!!
Lilith is our very loving 9 year old silver tabby, and she wanted you to know that, really, every room in the house (and this site) is hers and she just humors us so that we think it is our home. She can usually be found in a sunbeam in the morning, on the couch in the afternoon, on the Sunday paper wherever it may be lying about, and with her head in the refrigerator everytime you open it. She is always finding new ways to be adorable. A few months ago I learned how to knit. Lilith is thrilled. She thinks this is the greatest hobby ever. Not only does she get to play with the ends, but she helps to keep the string tight as I knit by pulling on it. And, of course, she claims all the leftovers of every skein. Many mornings we have now woken up to find yarn tangled around the legs of the furniture.
Lilith wants to say "HI MEOW!"
to her beautiful sister
Brittany
and some special cat cousins:
Sidney and Boof
Cassie and Ella
Pippin
Cali and Zoe
Thermal, Tucker, Sassy, and Kiki
Lolita
Fritz and Smokey
Stetson
And now I will turn the page over to her so she can tell you her story....
YAAAWWWWNNNN....Hello, cat lover. Since you are interested meow life (and who wouldn't be) Meow'd be happy to tell you all about meowself. Join meow in the sunbeam.
Meow was adopted from the Boston Animal Rescue League in September 1989. It was a scary place for a little kitten, but meow sister, Brittany, was there with meow and that helped. We were passed over by people all day long until these two women came and decided that they would take us home. Not even a small flea problem (really - it wasn't too bad) could stop these women from loving us (although to this day the vacuum cleaner scares meow silly!). We were very playful kittens and had lots of toys to hide around the apartment. We grew to be loving cats. Meow am a flirt and love to be around people. Meow sister is more of a scared-y cat, selective about those she loves, but she can purr like a motor boat. When we would go to the vet, the doctor couldn't hear her heart because when she got scared sometimes she would purr. It was very funny.
For seven and a half years Meow was a Boston cat, living in a small apartment above the Red Line Subway. Meow days were spent napping, watching pigeons (Meow like scaring them!), eating, playing with Brittany, and getting loved by meow two humans mommies. Sometimes meow sister and Meow would fight. Once she drowned meow toy mouse in a glass of water just because Meow made a mess in the litter box. She is sooo finicky!
Then in December 1996 meow mommy met a wonderful cat-loving man (he once gave me a whole can of cat food). Meow gave him meow paw of approval and they got married in 1998 and moved out of the city. It was tough at first because Meow missed meow sister and meow other mommy. But then Meow realized something important - before the ratio was 2 humans to 2 Cats. Now, it is 2 humans and 1 Cat. Meow get twice the attention and adoration! Not to mention a bigger apartment and meow own litter box. All in all, not a bad deal.
Now meow days are spent napping in sunbeams (and especially on meow own windowsill), scenting all the furniture (a big job!), eating - Meow have a weakness for salty junk food, finding new places to hide, helping meow mommy with her knitting (what would she do without meow), and just bringing lots of joy by being cute and loving. Meow sleep in my humans big bed almost night. And Meow frequently stay there even after they go off to work (such a silly thing to do!).
It is a great life. Meow get lots attention from all the visitors we have and Meow make sure that no one leaves the house without a little bit of cat fur on their clothes.
Recently Meow got another home page at the Purina Cat Chow site. No graphics or animation, but some fun information about meow. It was very easy to do!
