THE JOURNEY

 

 

They completely understood the challenge

Embraced the jump as if life was an unobtainable dare

Leapt forward into the unknown with the most free of spirits

No fears, concerns, or doubts through the pain, scars, and tears

 

And yet they dove courageously during the plunge...

 

 

They never thought to glimpse back

Nor sought their footprints in the ground

They ignored the pull from regrets, guilt, or remorse

They gave unconditionally to all naively around

 

And yet they heard the calling within...

 

 

They shared their stories of lords and ladies

They made romance an intimate, giving, relic of hearts

They gave us understanding beyond our knowing

They branded themselves into us with the best parts

 

And yet it was time for a new adventure...

 

 

They were the greatest of great

The sweetest of sweeter

Given all the odds and changes

They bloomed without being bitter

 

And yet preparation for the rookies was in order...

 

 

They breathed breath into us daily

They did a sneak attack on our everyday “ratrace”

They have made us all crazy

Without a clue, they set our stride, time and pace

 

And yet they left this earth for another journey...
